PLANET MODUS

Fourth planet from the center of the Omnus system. Homeworld of the Modus and Picci sentient species. Has trade relations with Oculus and Duon, such as offworld metals/minerals (Geos/Terrus), offworld honey/waxsteel (Vym), and specialized offworld ocean-vent compounds (Omi). Hostile relations with Planet Nox.

Biomes are roughly equivalent to Oculus (but ever so slightly colder) despite being farther from the system center, due to a very strange localized 'internal planetary heat source' that neither the Modes nor Picci know how to explain, given the planet should be below freezing at all times. Much of the planet's mountains have been excavated into by the Modes, while the skies are occupied by the Picci. Planet is 'split' down the middle by a continuous long ocean, giving it a unique banded appearance from space. Temperature stays approximately the same year-round, with only minor shifts during the short winter and summer axis tilts.
