Father Winter weeps.
Winter has lasted for nearly a year now, Kirk doesn't remember the warmth of Spring anymore. The creatures of the tundra have lost hope- many have curled up waiting to die, while others have tried to quell the grief of the anguished Father Winter and not returned. Kirk is among the few trying to get by, but his pack is slowly starving, and his loved ones cannot get by on rotting meat and sickly deer forever. Kirk is ready to join the few accepting death.
Then he has the dream.
Kirk is visited by Mother Summer, and at her behest he starts the long trek through the tundra to find the Lynx Mitchika and the Mink Lief- chosen themselves by Brother Fall and Sister Spring. The wolf must team up with the unlikely duo to bring winter to an end- but the harshness of a white out will freeze over the hearts of many.
