If vampire!Islington(vamp) met 'normal' Islington(Isl) they'd hate each other. Vamp would think Isl had wasted himself and everything he could do by settling down and starting a family thus hating the man, and Isl would regret that vamp hadn't realised what it felt like to actually be in love. Isl would also regret how he had acted like that before he got together with Prescott, it would be a real eye opener for him about his previous behaviour. Neither would like to admit that they are still so similar in too many ways.
Bonus normal Islington ramble. Despite the fact he never thought he'd start a family, mostly out of spite for what is family wanted from him, he'd always craved having a large supporting family. This is why he never really knew how to treat his co-workers, top harsh one some and too close with others, it's why he struggled when those he did let close were bad. It's the main reason The Trickster kept an eye on him, and why he sent both of Islington's future children to him, he had felt the same way, and was further encouraged when even as he became a god, he made sure to balance his life with his family as well as is work. Islington also smells like the beach and burning pine. :)
