Art by cloudsleepyy and CHOWSTARSMinyatas are paranormal creatures who have taken the forms of pinatas. They take form in the living world once every de los muertos (day of the dead) to bring candy, goodies, and toys to all who have lost a special someone in their lives. In their free time and normal lives, they live in their own universe, a colorful and bright place, a place where they can live happily and have fun on a day to day basis.

Life candy is a key importance to Minyatas, as they mend their bodies and keep their souls bound in place. If they loose their candy, they will slowly start to decay, becoming lost souls, often banished from the rest. But usually, healthy Minyatas try to help those in need. They will often try and find new candy for the lost souls to mend with and become whole again.
