I redrew my 2 year old beach portrait and since I like this "show your improvement" stuff I wanna see your redraws! If you are not quite sure what I mean, redraw means you pick an older art piece and draw it again. I love doing that from time to time to see if I got better.
Moody_Bats they are both very lovely! especially the lightning. The style in 2019 changed quite a bit and looks more mature, which looks great.

Yeah i mostly work on faces when it comes to my art as i wanted her to have a more mature face.
this is my most recent one! 2019 vs 2022 :) there's already some stuff in the '22 version i'd change lol but overall i'm very happy with the improvement

august 2023 - i kinda like the rendering on this one a lot but feel like theres too much going on with it and the anatomy is umm definitely something (i still cant be talking LMAO but i think ive had improved)

february 2024 - i genuinely hate this one so much im very disappointed to say i drew this abomination this year 🙁 the rendering is ugly as shit and val looks so fucking hideous in this drawing WHAT DID I DO TO MY BOY 😣💔💔💔💔💔💔💔 ill never recover over how i was once proud of this piece of shit (but its ok because that means ive improved alot in the last six months)

2022 version- Much better. I even did an art process!

drawn in 2021--i have a bad habit called 'not actually drawing reference sheets just drawing one fullbody and using that as reference forever' and this is that drawing for paintsplash.
and this one was in 2024! different pose bc this wasn't initially planned as a redraw, but the background and everything ties it together i think. this pose feels better anyways. the scythe was really hard lol XD
