love me middle warm tones... im just a biased warm color liker in general, but when they're not too light i can use the slightly yellow offwhite color for highlights well and it looks so tasty
(I mean what colors/areas in your drawing you love to render most, not what colors you use for shading)
and why? [Opt.]
I always enjoy working with contrasts (white - black) these types of ocs are the most fun to render and shade for me. I also love to work in some colors at the same time that bounce off of things but this is more about lighting than shading most of the time.
On the other end, very aggressive, bright similar colors are my least favorite. Think neon etc. (Not details in this color, only if they make a big percentage of the body) I tend to experiment to the point it looks a lot less crazy and work a lot of other hues in. Gives off a much neater look. But I still don't really like to work with it either way.
blues are fun, especially when I can work in both aqua and purple into their shading...
I also really like messing with colors that *shouldnt* be there with limited palettes, like shading pink hair with blue here
or shading green with orange here;
the more chaos the better
sarurun I know your post is a little older, but aaa 'adding colors that shouldn't be there' is such a great technique. I love it as well. there's so much you can do with it in limited color pieces.
