I hate to add this but it's an issue. Do not come here and beg for a freebie saying you aren't good at writing for them. And read the, what, 4 rules? This thread is ONLY for posts for write to adopt for my whole account. if a character is in the 'freebie' folder, comment ON the character and ping me (for WTAs and FCFCs!) If you can't do this, I will start reporting posts and banning you form entering here period.

Arthur; male; 20 years old; African painted dog mix
Arthur grew up in a very rural town in his home country of Zimbabwe. (I will have to do specific research as I am quite terrible with country placement and am not familiar with their culture off the top of my head!) His family was settled outside of the city as they were very poor, unable to afford clothes most of the time so the pups ran around with just their fur coats. His three sisters and mother all specialised in begging, but Arthur could never drop his pride enough to do that. After an accident as a toddler left him fatherless, he took up thievery as an alternative to to be able to feed his family. Growing into teenagehood, he never got caught more than a hand full of times, but this only made the youth bolder.
Times grew better for his family, as they were able to find a living space in someone's spare room, and for the first time they had access to the internet. Through this, Arthur's mom met another man, but he was out of country. Within a few months, they were able to afford five plane tickets to the United States where they were able to live in their own real home for the first time. Arthur's sisters adapted without problem, but he grew restless. There had always been work to do and something to take care of in his home country, what was he to do now? The mischievous teenager took up pranks first as a hobby but soon grew better and better at it. A trickster and a growing illusionist, Arthur entertained and pissed off people about the same amount of times. He found more joy out of the jokes, though, and had trouble making any friends due to driving them away with his antics.
It wasn't until he graduated high school and went off to college that he started noticing how lonely he was, though now he doesn't have a lot of experience making friends. Usually his dappled coat and thick accent draw people to him, but his way of never taking anything seriously just drove them away after. If able to get him, I'd like to pair him with another character I will write about when I have the time later today (I'm at school rn)

Gigi; female; 16; Oriental cat mix
(She will also be anthro!) Born to a relatively middle class home, Georgie did not know much different. She was never poor, her parents cared for her brother and her, and she went to school. Gigi was always a little bit of an odd ball, however; she enjoyed seeing just how far she could push any boundary, from strict rules to the social norms of the world where she was living. She would wear unorthedox clothes from the wrong era, get crazy temporary tattoos, talk about weird subjects in front of strangers; soon her parents realised their daughter was...different, so they started to try and curb her hobbies. None of these attempts we're successful, but she settled on a more rough punk look in her early teenagehood and ended up sticking with it.
Gigi loved her leather jacket, ripped jeans, and spiked her hair every chance she got. It was the first time she felt /cool/...and she liked it. When she was around 16 was when she met her to-be partner in crime. A fellow weird canine who never seemed to have many friends around him, either; she approached him boldly and the two started up a conversation, which went on for a long time. Soon she was finding herself feeling just how lonely this Arthur guy appeared to be, but Gigi herself felt happier around the trickster. Her sarcastic jokes and smirks we're just enough to egg him on, and soon the two were laughing and having a good time together.
This was the start of a strong friendship, the two were inseparable outside of their respective schools, despite Arthur being a college student. She showed him the town and he shared stories of his past home in Africa, the two became a positive influence on the other and gave them something to work towards. Their bond may have been formed seemingly from random chance, but their friendship stayed and only got stronger.

Ingrid "Lamby"; female; 30 years old; Shetland sheepdog mix anthro
She had a simple life; nothing was easy but there was not too much unnecessary hardships. Her parents supported her and helped push her through school, but a college degree in history ended up being less helpful than they hoped. Unable to find any sort of job related to her hard earned degree, she applied for jobs out of her comfort zone. It was at this time that my bar owner, Roscoe, called her for a follow up interview. He needed a back up bartender for while he is doing anything else in the establishment, and the fit seemed perfect. She was timid at first, dealing with customers, but quickly showed she was unafraid to call out the trouble makers.
She made new friends and slowly grew more and more comfortable behind the counter. She earned the nickname Lamby originally due to her skiddish and shy behaviour, but kept it even as she grew into a stronger, braver individual. Nowadays it is a running joke that Lamby is more fierce than even her boss. There is a lot of respect and adoration for the canine that has built over the years.
Lamby's initial impression is that she is a cute, short girl who seems not to have a mean bone in her body. She usually has a shy smile on her face, but that smirk doesn't disappear when sassing back at the cheeky customers. Don't judge this book by its cover, she is far from meek and mild. Despite her soft spoken voice, when she frowns and starts tapping her fingers on the counter, regulars know not to make her angry for fear of the bar closing early or being kicked out altogether. She is friendly, enjoying the chats with old and new visitors every evening, and has a sharp enough memory to recall almost anyone she has interacted with. Lamby is famously single, as well, but anyone trying to impress her that way is barking up the wrong tree; she is almost aromantic with how little interest she has for a potential partner, instead much more interested in having a jovial conversation with her boss Roscoe or having an intellectual one with a regular Wess. She loves her job and keeps the position with pride.
