All actions have consequences, even if you are a figure of insurmountable power.
There is always someone you should rationally fear.
Fear is what they felt when they first saw them, the eaters.
The were magnificent, their winged war trophies on proud display around them.
They were beautiful, their crowns of light illuminated their faces.
They were terrifying, they hunted down gods and angels effortlessly.
It was their job.
No.
It was their game.
God eaters are human/kemonomimi beings that evolved to keep celestial beings in check. They will 'eat' any celestial beings that are deemed a threat to civilization or the world, or have misbehaved in a unacceptable manner.
God Eater:
God eaters are not born god eaters, but are regular people who are chosen to become and join the god eater guild/society. Upon being chosen, the individual is gifted with the start of a celestial robe. The celestial robe is what gives god eaters their powers, and only by wearing the robe, can the eaters access the skills necessary to hunt the celestial beings.
Celestial Robe:
A robe made from wings taken from angels they have defeated and sewn together with mana string into clothing, and only when they are wearing their robes, you are able to see the eater's light crown and mana wings. The purpose of sewing angel wings with the eater's mana string is to preserve and connect the wing to their light wings. This keeps the wings alive and able to move, flap, disassemble and reassemble at the eater's will. The size of the robe determines what skills and power an eater is able to use and can be summoned using mana by the eater. Most eaters have multiple robes to deal with varying situations; a small one they carry around casually while only summoning a larger robe (which they hide in a safe location) for more difficult battles. Small robes give the eater more freedom to move around, while larger robes can render a eater immobile. Robes are not user specific, and can be exchanged and used with other eaters, but they cannot be used by another other race. Each robe must require the eater to regularly add more wings or mana stitches in order to preserve it as it starts to disintegrate from use or disuse.
Light Wing:
The light wing is astral projection of mana that courses through the eater's body. A eater's mana pool can be estimated by either looking at the number or size of light wings a eater has. As the number of light wings increase they start forming a wheel, the maximum amount of wings the first wheel is 9 before a new and larger wheel has to be started, the larger wheel's maximum wing limit is also increased by 3. E.g. 9, 12, 15 etc. A eater's mana pool, and thus their light wings, can be expanded by 'eating' celestial beings. The eater will absorb whatever amount of mana the being has leftover. The absorbed mana will first go to restore the expended mana of the eater, and then a percentage of the overfill will go to raising the cap of the eater's mana pool.
Light Crown:
The light crown is a purely decorative trait of the eaters and are made from the halos of their victims. Halos, upon being touched by an eater, will immediately shatter in multiple peices. These pieces are then collected and bent straight by the eaters to form their crown. A small market dedicated to selling and trading these pieces was started to help eaters obtain the pieces they need more easily at a price.

The species might have more things that can/will be optional traits later down the line and would definitely love to hear any thoughts people might have in regards to this species! Currently/potentially looking for someone to run the species with me as well as someone who's good at making pretty species reference sheets. I'm also looking to do some potential lore for this!
