[CLOSED] MYO Event! "Dimensional Ladies"

I proudly announce, after much popular demand, the first MYO event for my one and only original species: the Dimensional Ladies! For those unfamiliar with what a Make your Own event is: it’s a very limited and rare chance for the community to give their own creative take on someone else’s original species. So after 4 years and more than 200 of them I feel it’s finally time to give you guys the opportunity to be part of this collection in an even more significant way!

Dimensional Ladies are interdimensional beings that inhabit the Aetherway – a dimensional layer made of ether, invisible to most humans – feeding of emotions and thoughts. Each one of them has their own particular tastes and their appearance usually reflects that. They come in two different forms: the first is their cutesy natural larva form, occurring when they’re looking for a host. It’s only when they finally encounter a definitive source of energy such as a human host that they’ll reach their final complete form.

Mouthwatering Collection

Each entry of this collection will be based on a unique mood board carefully selected by the Dimensional Witch Yoshimi (aka my wife). Since it’s the first Dimensional Lady MYO event, they represent a dinner menu on a first date! It’s not necessary to convey every single element of the board – think of them as more of an inspiration starting point.

How to cook a Dimensional Lady

If you’re already familiar with the Dimensional Ladies, you may have noticed that this is not your typical original species: other than them having to be female, there’s no strict rules to how you should create one. Having said this, these are some set of principles that I personally follow:

• A pose featuring their personality
• Designs elements portrayed in an unconventional manner with some sort of hierarchical structure
• Minimalism. Think of flag designs: the best ones are the ones you can draw from memory. If it feels too cluttered, it’s because you went too far.
• Embrace the absurd, the charming, the uncanny and the gorgeous
• Be yourself and go wild with your imagination! Anything goes as long you’re having fun creating! I can’t wait to see how each one of you will display your own particular sensibilities and drawing styles!

Guidelines

To keep the whole collection consistent:

• Digital artwork only
• Canvas resolution: 1200x1920
• Outlines must be purple
• Solid yellow background
• Full body illustration
• No shading
• A larva and a complete form that resemble each other

Rules:

By claiming a slot you’ve read and agree with the following rules:

• Once it's paid, I will send you the files for the ticket and the authorization
• You can draw the character yourself, or commission another artist
• Participants may buy multiple slots 
• Submitted designs copyrights belongs to participant artist.
• Species trademarks belongs to me.
• If design is being made by someone else, make sure disclose it and instruct the artist by linking them to this page!
• You may keep, give, trade or sell your original design for as much as you want
• Finished designs need to be submitted, approved and watermarked by me before any releases.
