I was super inspired by doing color palette challenges with my mutuals on Instagram, so I wanted to turn it into a game here 🙂
How it works:
At the start of each month, I will add a new color pallet to IC (as well as post the new pallet here). I will disclose where the pallet originated from.
The goal is to use the color palette in a drawing. This can be of anything you want; a character of yours, fanart for a piece of media, a new OC design, an adopt etc. So long as you keep in mind that others are completely free to use the pallet however they wish. You are free to use palettes from previous months as well! Just be sure to state the correct month if you enter for a previous one.
If you would like to join, comment "Entering for [month, year]" (Ex. "Entering for September 2023!") and then edit the comment to include your drawing once you've finished.
If you would like to add your image to the gallery, you can add it to this character ID and I will sort it into the proper month:

Please keep everything PG-13 since this is a public forum! The only way you can be blacklisted from this thread is by posting adult content or being rude to another user or myself.
You can use the same palette as many times as you’d like.

There are no deadlines for these, and there is no expectation of you completing the challenge! This is just for fun. Don't stress out too much about it.

I like to mess with the pallet a little bit when I do these challenges, we do a LITTLE bit of cheating LMAO. All I ever do is mix the colors a bit and also change the saturation and brightness around a little for shading. Very hard to paint with just 5 colors ahshd so it helps a lot

complete (i did cheat a bit and change the opacity for shading and what not but i didnt use any multiply or add layers so im pretending it counts) \o/ im actually quite proud of this LOL (Ft my chara Andrew on the day godzilla appeared in north america for the first time \o/)

I too am a dirty cheater. I mostly just layered the given colors, but I also added one darker shade of green because I can't help myself.

Hey guys, the new color pallet is up for October 2023! I was debating whether or not to wait until 30 days had passed and decided I should just go ahead and get things on schedule to be posted on the first or second of each new month.
You may find previous pallets used in the archive, which is my IC while writing this!
I am unsure whether or not I will always do a poll for the next month, but if I do it will be posted around the middle of the month and I will once again make a post/ edits to show that it’s up :)
