i have commissioned Ringabel twice for two pieces each time, totaling 4 commissions in total. the first two were of my husband's D&D characters, characters that had no references, and thus had to be worked on from written description. the next two, one was similar - one of my D&D characters that did not have a reference, and a second character who had many references but who i wanted an outfit design for.
all of these commissions were bought during a time of upheaval for the world. it's entirely understandable they each took time. however, Ringabel was astonishingly and wonderfully upfront about the time they were taking, always keeping in touch with me to make sure i was always up to date. the first 2 commissions were completed very quickly, in fact. there was a small break between the next 2, but again, i wasn't worried because they kept me so in the loop, of which i am very appreciative.
the commissions themselves are extremely wonderful pieces. my husband was delighted to finally see his 2 characters come to life. i felt the same with my character that had no references, and was utterly flabbergasted by the gorgeous outfit design on the 4th character.
Ringabel's strength comes, outside of art, in communication. they are upfront, sincere, and a wonderful person to simply chat with. they are interested in YOU and YOUR CHARACTERS and it gives every commission a personal touch. for the art itself, their strength is in their wide range of how they draw faces and bodies - your character *will* have the features and body type you want them to have. big nose? small nose? plush lips? thin lips? all of it, Ringabel can accomplish, while still having their beautiful style be clear in the artwork. not to mention how they can make even simple expressions and poses scream personality, though they also excel with very dynamic poses.
i cannot recommend Ringabel highly enough. if you are looking for a graphic style that is eye popping and gorgeous, if you are looking for your character to come alive, you want to commission Ringabel! i will forever be blessed to have the pieces i have from them, to have been able to work with them, and i will definitely be working with them in the future!
