Info About Character:
IO is a young male anthro canine. Living in the modern day society, IO is a quiet guy who works from home and doesn't really interact with other people. He keeps to himself and rarely hangs out with his friends. The only friend he's ever been close to is Ratchet; the only one who knows his whole backstory. IO rarely speaks and is known for being selectively mute to people who don't personally know him. Although its hard to imagine a guy who has everything he's ever wanted can be this shy, quiet and introverted; he has his reasons. When he knows someone well enough, he can he sweet, kind, caring, protective, sensitive and a little more outgoing than normal. IO loves to play guitar, read, draw, paint, and walk through the forest behind his apartment. He loves the night and going up to the roof to star watch. Ratchet calls him 'Space Boy' for all the information that IO knows about the universe outside of Earth. IO doesn't let people into his life very easily, he will push them away, but in his heart he wants to pull them close and never let them leave him. As far as anyone knows, IO has never dated anyone. He lives alone, spends most of his time alone and doesn't try to interact with other people. He's afraid to fall in love... again. (For a little bit of physical wise, IO is 6'4, a mix of athletic and lanky body build, fur length is just slightly long, and his tail almost touches the ground.)
Preferred Partner:
IO has no preference when it comes to male or female, but he does prefer any anthro species with fur (mostly canines and felines). When it comes to a loved one, IO will do anything in his power to protect them. He can be possessive, but only to others trying to steal or seduce his partner as he normally tries to hide it from his partner. Though he acts this way, he is sensitive. If his partner appears to show disinterest or acts rude, he will shut them out mentally and emotionally. Its not something he wants to do, but his heart feels like he has to do it in order to protect himself. IO wants someone who is outgoing, hyper, sweet and funny. Someone who can figure out what he's thinking and help him cope with his selective mutism. Someone who can get him out of the house and show him things that he's hidden himself from. When he becomes close enough to someone, he will begin to speak again, slowly but surely.
Type of Ship:
I am looking for someone who would want to roleplay with him, possibly get art together and fangirl over the two of them. I can both draw/order art of them in the future if this really works out. I am also looking for someone who would want this going on long term. I'm not really looking for something short for him.
Anything Else:
For a roleplay, I'm looking for the idea of them bumping into each other frequently enough that the other person wants to know why IO is so quiet. Someone who will somewhat push him to his limits and not stop trying to get his attention. I'm also really looking for a character that is relatively shorter than IO (which will hopefully be easy considering his height of 6'4 lol)
