Que to keep track of this board.
Hello everyone. I am posting this board because I just wanted to inform everyone of a scammer on the boards. Sunday, November 20th Vyness made a board in the general forums about selling pokemon moon for $13 because they needed money for food. (Link I recieved in a chat to the original post.) I purchased the game from them and even sent them more than what they were asking for. (Paypal reciept)
I sent them a PM confirming the payment and they instructed they would be shipping it out the next day. The next day a friend of my girlfriend's on TH saw them post on this board which seemed strange for someone claiming they needed money for food. With the original amount they were asking for. ($13, I gave them $14 because I wanted them to get all the money, glad I did not send them more.) I thought them posting on that board was odd so I decided to send them another message asking for a tracking number for the sent game. I hadn't heard anything from them through the holidays (which is to be expected with thanksgiving and all) and went to send them a message this morning asking them about the game, only to find out they had blocked me. This is pretty unacceptable behavior and I wanted to warn everyone about this individual and trading in any capacity with them. I have already started the process for my refund through paypal in the dispute process but this is pretty unacceptable.

Today I saw that Vyness had sent me a response to my initial paypal question. This is what they had to say.
I escilated the claim to paypal and will now be submitting all of my evidence against this individual. They are disgusting.
That's so shitty... especially when I've been there. When I've not had the money to get food and resorted to something similar to this. :/ Thank you for the heads-up.

It will be, I have had some paypal disputes before so I always am sure to collect evidence. Thank you however for the PSA board link, I went ahead and sent the board owner a link to my board. I had no idea they had a PSA board so thank you so much for sending that my way! c:>
Right? Like I have been homeless myself before but I have never, EVER resorted to conning people for money. Not only that but apparently they didn't need it for food? Like it really makes it hard for those who ACTUALLY have an issue or need emergency money to be trusted. Not to mention that doing this over a holiday week on something I was very much excited about. It just sucks, but hey at least people can spread the word to not trade with this individual.
the fact that someone would sell their pkmn moon for $13 is crazy sketchy, the game is like a week old and super popular... even if they needed money for food, you could get more than $13 for it do to it's high demand... plus you need to ship the game so you'd have to take shipping costs out of that $13 leaving them like $8. that makes literally no sense LOL

i'm sorry you had to suffer from this-- this is just all around a really angering situation. >_> hopefully they'll learn their lesson after they get that lovely 25$ fee from the refund being forced. ;)

@Fisty I mean in reality I am more angry that they used the excuse they needed money for food more than anything. They are just a filthy human being and it was just one of those "too good to be true moments".
wicked Yeah, I mean I know individuals who have had to sell things like that in a pinch because they want them gone but sometimes I am too trusting for my own good. Just leads to getting burned though I suppose.
Hopefully, I really wish paypal would freeze one of their apparently "many" accounts.
oh my god what an arrogant douche! if you definitely point that out to paypal, make sure they flag their other accounts for this horseshit, too. it's completely unacceptable.
kavaro Right? Like they are just a dispicible individual and sad to boot. I mean the way good news is that there is no way out of this dispute. I wish paypal had a better system to monitor spoof accounts but that's just how it is. Some individuals are just honestly not the best people. They take advantage of others and then expect no consiquence.
