Upon inquiring or purchasing art from ArachniRave as of October 23, 2021, you agree to these conditions:

  1. I, ArachniRave, reserve the right to decline a commission proposal.
  2. If a clear reference image(s) is not given, a detailed text description is needed.
  3. If payment has yet to be given, I reserve the right to watermark previews.
  4. If I,ArachniRave, do not receive the agreed upon payment, you revoke the rights to have or use the piece of art, and I gain the right to take the lineart and modify/use it to compensate for unpaid time spent working.
  5. An estimated time of arrival & the time it takes for your commission to be completed will be given upon commission proposal. This could be anywhere from a day to six months depending on my queue and my personal schedule. It may be completed earlier than the estimated time of arrival.
  6. Any major changes needed must be communicated during the occasions I show you WIPs (ie character's position, shading, accessories and major scars, background details, etc). You are subject to being charged up to an extra $4 per character if any major changes aren't communicated until the final piece is shown.
  7. I, ArachniRave, have the right to use the commission as a portfolio example; the piece will be watermarked to protect the art from theft.
  8. I, ArachniRave, do not allow my art in any way, shape, or form to be associated with non-fungible tokens (NFTs).
  9. Any piece a commissioner receives from me, ArachniRave, I strongly encourage to watermark in some way, shape, or form. This isn't required, of course, but is beneficial towards the commissioner and puts up an extra wall of safety that way their character and the art they paid for isn't stolen.
  10. I, ArachniRave, do not allow my art in any way, shape, or form to be associated with AI nor do I allow my artwork to be put into AI generators.

Frequently Asked Questions
Last updated 09/26/2023

Q: When do you want me to send payment?A: Whenever you're most comfortable! I do send any WIPs pre-payment with watermarks, though, so I'd recommend paying earlier in the process if you're wanting to see full version WIPs (See more about it in 3 and 4).
Q: How often will I get updates/WIPs?A: I usually give updates during the rough sketch stage, the line stage, the color stage, and finally (if applicable), the shading stage. These are the four stages I work in with my art. I am happy to give updates during the process if requested! I may also give more updates if I have questions for the commissioner or if there's a detailed background, multiple characters, or scene involved.
Q: There was text on a piece of art by you that I'd like to be changed. Is it okay if I alter it myself?
A: You're welcome to change it yourself if you'd like! If you have any questions about the writing (i.e. font, size, spacing, etc), feel free to ask. I'm also happy to edit any text free of charge regardless if you or a past owner of the OC ordered the piece.
Q: I recently purchased a character whose design I am wanting to change. Is it okay if I alter your art?
A: Do not alter designs within my art without my permission unless you're watermarking it or adding text to it. Depending on how large the design change is, I'm happy to alter the art myself for a generously small price (if any)!
Q: Why do you recommend I watermark the art I receive from you?
A: A lot of the fandoms I do artwork for unfortunately have people in them who steal art or characters, whether they have bad intentions behind it or are simply misinformed. Having your watermark on a piece can help prevent this! As stated before, I don't require it, of course, but it saves you the hassle of potentially having to take your character/art back.
