Personality: Layla, also often called Umber for her contracts, is a generally kind person. Despite her quiet nature, she is caring and friendly to anybody she talks with. Often times when Layla is with others she doesn't know, she tends to stick to the back and simply watch. And if she notices that somebody needs help, she quickly goes over and offers to help with a soft smile. From a distance, Layla tends to look much more intimidating and harsh then she really is, her darker coloring and resting face often only adding to the intimidation factor. She loves animals, and if she sees any she would more then likely rush to pet them. Her favorite are Fens, thinking they are the most adorable creatures ever.

She has ADHD, anxiety, and slight depression but often keeps it to herself for the worry of annoying others with her issues. She is somewhat talkative with her friends, more then happy to spend time with them and talk to them about nearly anything. Surprisingly, she can be fairly protective about her friends. Often standing up for them if she sees anybody being harsh to them, and shoo the people away. If anybody does break her trust, its nearly impossible to gain it back, with Layla often shrugging off the person. Between her contracts, Layla often explores wherever she is and practices her blacksmithing. Normally she crafts herself weapons and armor, but if any of her friends ask for anything made she will happily craft them something. Or if whatever she crafts she doesn't entirely like, she opts to sell them instead. Her style of work is very detailed and mobile, always liking to make sure that anybody wearing her armor can move swiftly and easily. And for her weapons, she prefers to craft swords and daggers.

While she works, Layla is very quiet and focused on the task at hand. She prefers to go alone, not wanting the extra worry of having others getting hurt or planning around them. Layla can be very serious, even a bit snappy during her bounty hunting work. She often goes for bounty hunting, putting her hand crafted armory to use. She keeps her armor simple, never wanting anything overly bulky or anything loud. Normally she goes for thick leather or anything of that nature, and swords or daggers. Her darker coloring helping her during most of her contracts in the night, blending in easier, and if it isnt enough she opts to use my magic instead to conceal herself better.

Background: She was born in Braeyc City during the night, considered a Nightborn, but neither of her parents where true diehard Tucruit affiliation so she was left alive. They had a happy small family, with Layla being the only child. During her childhood, her father died early in her life due to sickness. She met a few friends that helped cheer her up as she was fairly upset due to the loss of her dad. Once of her friends moved away after only a few years. She and her mother lived alone quiet and happy, with Layla as she was getting older starting to go out and explore much more, even starting on some combat training and starting to learn blacksmithing in her fathers honor since he used to work as one. One day as she was traveling alone far away from Braeyc, her mother was a bit too close to the Dark Briar Grove and was killed by one of the monsters. It took Layla a week or so to come back home and realize what happened, and began to hone her rather weak combat skills, wanting to be able to take revenge on whatever horrid monster had killed her mother. She also wanted to help prevent any more deaths from happening, that being another reason as to why she was getting better at her combat skills. After awhile of training, and even having friends help her along she way, she was able to track down the monster that most likely killed her mother and killed it. The creature took the form of a large Briar, twisted and full of unmatched hunger. It took the lefika all she had to kill it, the beast being a Basilisk and cursing her with the werebeast curse. She suffered alone with it for a few years, and after telling a friend she was told about the ThistleCave Clan for werebeasts, and the clanmates helped her control what she considered a curse. Though still, during times of extreme emotion she has trouble controlling it.
