Unlimited Prompts || Ricin meets Terrakion

Ricin was weak, it made sense for him to be weak, really. He was a baby pokemon, for once, and for two he had no one to teach him how the world worked. No, he got that after he encountered the pokemon that seemingly blessed his life to be free of the pains that wild pokemon went through. It was raining when it happened, the sky darkened with the storm clouds and the setting sun. Drops of water made a sort of music as they landed on leaves and branches, a song that Ricin appreciated as he shuffled himself away underneath a large tree. The tree had clearly been home to pokemon before, yes- but there wasn't a scent of anyone around, making it clear to Ricin that whoever had lived here had moved out long ago. And yet, no other pokemon had taken up the tree as their own, it was a curious thing really.

But Ricin found out why that was very quickly once the rain started to come down hard. The large tree roots helped keep the rain off of him, but the rain still seeped into the dirt around, which eventually lead to the ground under the tree becoming a soft mud. Safe to say, sitting in mud was an experience that Ricin would most definitely describe as unenjoyable. The toxel shuffled slightly every so often, the discomfort he felt causing him to buzz with electricity that made its way into the mud and down into the dirt every so often. Ricin tried to ignore it, laying his head very carefully down onto his own body, attempting to keep the dirt and mud away from his face as much as possible, less he become even more uncomfortable to the point where he couldn't sleep.

Night came, and night passed- at least, it seemed to. When the toxel opened his eyes again, he wasn't met with the sun, or a brighter sky, but simply more rain. And yet, it was clear time had passed, the ground was more muddy now, so that was all Ricin needed in order to know that the night had passed as he slept. When he left that hole in the ground, he found another bit of evidence of time passing. After all, he didn't exactly see a large pokemon wandering about. The pokemon in question seemed to hear Ricin walking through the mud, turning about to see the small creature. And he certainly wasn't looking his best, body messy with mud, and continuing to uncomfortably buzz in the rain.

"Oh, Hello little guy!" The pokemon has said, approaching in a way that surprisingly didn't frighten Ricin despite how large the pokemon coming towards him was- taller than any trainer Ricin had seen, and definitely larger from shoulder to shoulder than any human too. The pokemon has large horns and strong hooves, though definitely different than a sawsbuck's horns. Ricin couldn't tell what this pokemon was...but somehow he could already tell that they meant him no harm. So he simply stood there, buzzing and shaking as the pokemon came over and crouched, getting as close to eye level with Ricin as possible.

"Do you live somewhere near here, buddy?" The question had a simple answer, but it took Ricin much longer to answer due to the desperate attempts he made to process everything about the pokemon who was talking to him. Eventually though, he shook his head, sniffling slightly. "Oh, well I can't just leave you out here! I mean, listen to you sniffling, you're probably already sick!" To be honest, Ricin hadn't even noticed that he was sniffling, but now that it was pointed out to him...he did feel a little bit stuffy...maybe the rain was getting to him.  Before he could say anything, he was lifted up from the ground, and placed gently on the other pokemon's back, which was scary for the moment before he realized that being on the other pokemon's back was...somewhat comforting. It definitely felt more sturdy than the mud he had been sleeping on.

"Don't you worry, kiddo! I know a place to drop you off where you'll get some proper rest from the storm, just hang on okay?" The pokemon asked, and Ricin shuffled a bit in order to get something close to a proper grip on the pokemon's back. "Uh... okay, I think I'm hanging on fine mister...?" He paused, only for the other pokemon to give a small chuckle. "Please, no formalities, kid! My name's Terrakion." A nod from the toxel. "Okay... Well, I'm ready to go then, Terrakion." And with that, they were off. In all honesty, it was quite a lot of fun, riding on the back of this friendly pokemon through the rain, almost to the point where he could ignore the rain and just...enjoy the wind hitting his face.

Ricin Barely even noticed when they stopped, not until he properly felt the downpour on his head again. He looked over at where Terrakion had brought him. It was a nice human building, made of stone and brick, covered in nice flowers that thankfully seemed strong enough to handle the storm, and probably much more. Still Ricin was... confused. "Terrakion? Why are we at a human's home? I don't know if it's safe for me to just wander in a human house..." As he spoke, he was being brought back to the ground, being gently placed down onto a rock path that lead to the door of the home. Terrakion smiled at him, a comforting smile that made Ricin calm, even if he was confused up to the point the pokemon spoke to him again.

"I have a friend here, a human who helped me once upon a time. She's very good at taking care of pokemon, and I'm sure that she wouldn't be the type to turn away a pokemon getting sick in the rain. I also know she won't try to catch you, so you can leave whenever you would like. Just... walk up there and tap on the door, she'll hear you." Ricin looked to the door, and then back to Terrakion, giving the other a smile. "Thank you, Terrakion. Will I see you again if I stay?" The question was innocent in a way that almost hurt the legendary pokemon, but he still returned the smile. "Maybe someday kid, now go knock on that door, don't want you getting any more sick now."

The stones were slightly slippery with the rain, but Ricin still made his way to the door without any issue, tapping the door as instructed. He turned behind himself, only to see that Terrakion had already gone and disappeared. Oh well, Ricin would see him again someday, he just knew he would.
