Uncovering Secrets PT 2

The ship docked with a loud thud, "We've reached yer destination." Sal told the crew.

"We better get going then." Mal spoke hurriedly. They walked the desert in search of the oasis, the sweltering sun beaming down on them. It made Mal uncomfortable and the lack of conversation didn't help. Sweat drenched his pirate outfit, he sighed. It definitely needs a wash after this adventure. For the short time they were walking, they finally reached the oasis only to find a half rotten bridge.

Sal told him about his fear about water and what lurks beneath.

Mal looked quizzically at Sal, the pirate captain. How could someone who sails the sea be afraid of water?

"Didn't picture you as a scaredy cat." Mal chuckled. "Let's get to work and find a way across so you don't get your paws wet."

Turbo the tortoise played around with Captain French fry as they figured out a plan. An idea popped into his head, "Hey Turbo, Captain French fry, do you wanna scout around the desert, don't go far though, for anything we could use to cross?" Turbo lifted one leg up to show Mal that he struggled with skating in the sand. He turned to look at Captain French fry, only to watch him copy Turbo. Mal sighed, "They aren't going to be of help." He muttered. He tapped lightly on the bridge, some of it seemed sturdy enough. "We could dismantle what's left of the bridge to make a raft. I honestly think there won't be much around a desert, we should look on the ship to see if we can find something for us to build a raft." Sal gave a quick nod and walked with Mal back to the ship.

"Do we really need this on the ship?" Mal pointed to the door that led to the captain's quarters.

Sal looked annoyed, "it's good for privacy" he mumbled.

Mal unscrewed the door, not minding that he annoyed Sal. "We could use that for the base of our raft. After all, we don't want to get our paws wet, do we?" Mal snickered, still thinking it's funny that a pirate captain is afraid of water, of all things for a pirate to be afraid of, why water?

Mal saw a broom and mop, signalling to Sal to grab them. "We can use them as ores, the broom should be fine as is. We just need something to attach to the mop."

Mal spotted some branches near water, and some rope on the deck. Sal also grabbed them and then they were on the way to the oasis again. Mal and Sal dropped their items and began to dismantle the semi decent wood. In no time, they had enough to start to assemble the raft.
