The Chronicles of the Merch

It was relitavely easy to get to fours home, though by the time they got there the sun had already set. It was quite the marvel of a place, covered in vines even having seemingly a glass dome on the top. As four just led her in and showed her around awkwardly. Lilly just stayed quiet for the most part, not wanting to seem over talkative though occasionally making small comments. She was also introduced to 42, fours roommate and seemingly best friend who welcomed her as well with open arms. And by the time she got unpacked and cuddled into her bed she was out like a light. Though, the first morning she awoke to was a strange one. In the guest room her bed was positioned right under a nice window. It was warm and comfortable, except, when she opened her eyes she found herself face to face with a full grown male peacock who seemed to be looking her over. It took her about a sleepy minute to register before she screamed and scrambled out of bed ending up falling on the floor breathing hard. Lilly could handle many things, her excitable mini aussie Boba waking her up in the early morning, and a few late night calls from the barn fucking up her sleep schedule. Or literally anything fucking else, she didn't exactly know how to react with a peacock. As it looked to her confused before cawing it's odd caw loudly, causing two pairs of feet to be heard running towards the room as four threw open the door. Both him and 42 running in equally panicked expressions like there was some sort of actual serious attack. Before four squinted at the peacock through his glasses letting out an exasperated groan "fucking damnit"

42 noticed the peacock before sighing, deciding to try and relax the Lilly who was still vibrating from both the spook and the door being almost blown off his hinges. Going through some breathing with her as four picked up the peacock now known as splendor. Once Lilly was calm four let out a slight breath of relief before immidiately internally panicking as 42 headed out to get back to his morning. Four then looked to Lilly who was now calm and a bit fascinated by the peacock in his arms. She was a bit more curious than spooked. "i uh...I'm really sorry about that. I shouldve locked the window before you came." Four spoke with a grimance already slightly fearing for the worst. Lilly looking up and blinking as shes stands up "o-oh. Its alright... it was just a suprise heh...you said his name was splendor right?" Four blinked a couple times as well. "um..yes...but..you arent mad?" She tilted her head "mad? Why would I be mad? If anything you having a peacock is really cool! Though...I've uh..never experienced birds before I do think their pretty and adorable...heh..I prefer them more than reptiles but...I can pet a snake as long as it's kind....and...now I'm rambling...oops"

she blushed a bit as four just smiled casually. Snickering as well "you want to pet him?" Lilly blinked before smiling brightly at the idea. Stepping closer, she then looked up at four awkwardly "u-um..how do i...do it right" four just gently grabbed her hand at that, holding splendor in one arm almost too easily as she blushed a lot. He guided her hand a few times explaining how to pet a bird correctly. Once she got it down she giggled and smiled brightly, eyes just seemingly shining at the experience as splendor seemed to like it too, cooing under her touch while it was four's turn to blush lightly. Before four then took him over to the window "alright you. Go on back up to the aviary." Splendor seemed slightly hesitant but listened as Lilly tilted her head "...you..have an aviary?" Four blinked before looking to her "I um...I have a lot of birds." She blinked before giggling and speaking gently "well. Maybe later you could let me meet your birds? If..their friendly like splendor of course" four then smiled broadly "heh, of course you can. They'd probably like it honestly" Lilly smiled a bit more going to speak before being caught by her stomach growling instead as she blushed in mild embarrassment. Four chuckling and putting a hand on his hip finding it adorable "after breakfast" she just nodded hugging her stomach managing out "yeAh. After. YeAH" four just laughed gesturing for her to follow, Lilly just hoping internally she hadn't made a fool of herself yet as she walked behind him to head downstairs, when in reality she had done quite the opposite.
