Dreams of the Deep: Blossom Edition

This was absolutely not for her, swimming in the expanse of the Starwells' deep dream pool. Blossom had been warned by both Khadgar and Winnie that she would eventually succumb to the magic of the beach getaway. Taken to a dream so lucid, it was thought to be real, shared by all who visited the Starwell. For a few good weeks, the girl had been avoiding it, only swimming for a few minutes in the pool's cool waters. She thought she would be spared by the odd dreams, not liking the thought of being underwater for so long - even if it was a dream. But yesterday's beach antics had gone too far, and the winter browbird had to play hero.

Magna, Winnie's kettlekat, who had been enjoying the time spent with Blossom, relaxing on the beach, had an incident. While swimming near the shore as she read on the beach, on a towel under an umbrella, the poor little pet had been struck by a rogue volleyball rather hard. So hard that the swimming kettlekat was knocked out and instantly started to sink where she was swimming, completely drowning. Despite others rushing to save Magna, it was Blossom who had been closest to her little companion. Sparing no time to toss her book aside and jump into the cooling Starwell to save them. Due to that, her heroic actions brought her here.

"I really need to wake up..." she spoke to herself, feeling uncomfortable as she took in her surroundings. For her dream, the Starwells' deep waters indeed had fish like Medis, but unlike his, hers were smaller. They swam around her, tickling at her fur as if to be friends. Noticeably, just like her companions, this dream included the fishy version of Magna too, which gave her a tad bit of comfort.

However, her form had not changed a bit, resembling just herself and nothing more. No mermaid-like features to help her kick around and swim. However, she did have Winnie's Butterfly Wing Cloak wrapped around her shoulders, something the whole crew borrowed from time to time. Trying to take the dream for what it was, Blossom simply began to swim around with the fish, aiming to swim towards the top. Perhaps instead of being in the depths of the deep pool, she could find her way to the beloved shore. Up and up and up she swam, with her fish companions following her to what seemed like nowhere. Finding this overall annoying, Blossom huffed within the water, stirring up some bubbles, and decided to float there instead. If she wasn't going to get anywhere with this dream pool, her efforts would go nowhere. She didn't want to swim down, so she waited, floating in the water within her dream until the girl got so bored that, slowly, she began to fall asleep within the dream—and then she woke up.
