[Skire Scoop 2] What is your comfort food?

Nao returns home from some magic training, finally seeming to make some progress with it. They find themselves distracted redirecting the gusts of wind around them, getting used to their new ability. They're so distracted that upon coming to the door of their house, the sound of them crinkling newspaper almost scares them. In response they take a step back, revealing the newspaper to their sight, it sits on the ground in front of their door.

“Has it been a month already?” Nao thinks to themself, as they proceed to grab the newspaper off the ground and enter their house.

They sit down at their writing desk and scan the front page for the monthly question, ”What is your comfort food?“ They get a piece of paper ready to answer the prompt, pen in hand, but they find themselves stuck on finding an answer. Nao realizes... that they don't ever eat, or at least haven't in a very long time. So maybe they'll have to write about something else.

”What is my favorite comfort food? Well, I don't quite have a food that I like to consume, but I love having my fair share of drinks. My favorite drinks have to be ones mixed with this special type of seaweed I find in the swamp near my area. It can be blended or just put in there whole, however it is I'll enjoy it. It just has this very unique taste and texture... but NO ONE wants to sell it. Yeah sure, the swamp might have some odd creatures and weird... people. But is it that hard to send a group of people out to get the best tasting kelp in all of the land? I shouldn't have to go out ALL BY MYSELF to get THE GOOD KELP just because everyone else is a bunch of COWARDS.“

Nao stops themself there, realizing this has gone from answering the question to a whole on rant. They put their writing materials to the side and give the newspaper a quick look through before casting it aside.

They find themself thinking about if they actually had a comfort food instead of only having random drinks from the stuff they put together. What would it be like to eat something that actually put care into making it taste good rather than just having nothing.

The thought eats at them, but where would they even start?
