July Tamable #2

Tyna narrowed her eyes as the dragon swung back round, and turned her head to keep an eye on it, the lava surging around her more as she she drew on her fire magic, it came to her easier and easier each time; she waited, the talons looming close before she struck out with her fluke, the lava surging around her as the large fin struck the flighted dragon, sending it scrashing to ground nearby, the lava hardening now as it left the burning heat of the main river.

The falcon cocked its head, pearing at the now downed dragon, its talons tightening on the feathered arm it clung to before it took off, gliding the thermals and heading away to hunt; the navy gryphon meanwhile continued to observe, the heat in the area becoming almost unbearable as both fire dragosn fought. Meiron hadn't missed that Tyna remained in the lava, drawing the other to her, but she also hadn't tucked in her wings, the translucent, boneless appendages actually the most vulnerable part of her... and if the wild dragon went for them... he knew he'd have to 'interfere' stray lightning or not. For know though he continued to watch....

The wild dragon snarled, coming to its feet with a swiftness that the wyrm like dragon couldn't match, this time its movements were slower, less filled with anger that the hammerhead had dared attack it, it noted that although the dragons sight was hampered by the shape of her head, her wyrm like body meant it could follow its movements, and an attack head one was not possiblt the spiral horn a deterrint... and though the blue dragons claws were tiny, her tail was a weapons... but its wings... looked flimsy and delicate and it hissed, lurching forwards nefore sidestepping to lash out at the frilled wings.

Meiron sensed the attack before the dragon started its move, dropping off the ledge eh folded his wings and dove, talons outstrected ina move he'd seen the falcon use time and time again, a raking strike across a larger creature; it took every once of his concentration to hold his form as the lightning crackled around him, if one bolt hit him...

Tyna fell for the feint spitting fire at where she thought the wild dragon was going to be, but too late she realised what was happening, letting her wings go limp... they would of taken a hit if not for the gryphon that struck, yowling the wild dragon snapped, missing his wing by mere inches.... the lightning all but touching him. Roaring, Tyna lunged forward, hitting the wild dragon with her full weight (which was more than she'd admit to), fire flicking over her body as she trapped the wild dragon beneath her, ignoring the others claws until they stilled... Tyna's horn pressed against the wild dragons throat...going limp, though sparks continued to cross the wild dragons body, both dragons still.

"I think you've proven your point, Tyna." Meiron's voice sounded, and she caught sight of the navy gryphon landing nearby... away from the magma. "And it's not as if it can suddenly 'return' the food." He followed up. She narrowed her eye at him, before returning her gaze to the wild dragon pinned beneath her weight. "Hmmph." She hissed, easing off the dragon. "Never, take my food again." She hissed, turning her head away and slithering back the way she came, completely ignoring the wild dragon now, she was hungry and tired.

Meiron snorted watching the hammerhead dragon vanish into the heat haze, before returning his gaze to the wild dragon getting back to its feet; it looked at him, and he just stared, before it nodded, taking to air as elegantly as it had fallen, the lightning muted now as it flew off. Shaking his feathers out, Meiron took to the air, riding the thermal until he caught up with the blue wyrm below, the falcon soaring back to meet him, Tyna's hungry thoughts filtering through his bond with her....Still that fight seemed to have leeched some of that excess energy that she'd had.
