I love this, a lot. It's very short but you've captured a specific feeling flawlessly. Honestly MY heart sank into my stomach when Eight, who had been so confident just a moment before, respawned and just went back on the train. Ugh. My emotions. I also really liked how you were able to have Lily fiddling with the Squee-G, but it flows in so naturally with the rest of the oneshot which is focused on Lily and Agent 8 - like it's just a thing she's doing to pass the time. I'm a sucker for little details like that.
