Nea

Nea loves the color of her eyes. The hue reminds her of a setting sun reflecting off the waters near her home. Her father raised her by himself, her mother had passed shortly after birthing Nea. The two were really close and often spent their evenings combing the coastline for trinkets and shells. As the sun reached the horizon, they would sit on the sand and watch the sunset. Her father would share stories about her mother and how Nea had her eyes. Now off on her own, any time she saw her reflection she was reminded of those special times with her father and always knew her mother would be with her. As an older lioness who was now out on her own and in a pride of her own, she still found time to remember her family. When she found out she was pregnant, she was the happiest she had been since Zuberi had finally found the nerve to admit his feelings for her. Her first born, Atiena, shared her sunset colored eyes. Upon seeing them, she couldn't help the swell of emotion within her. That her mother would live on in her grandcubs even if she didn't know it.
