Sky and Sea Event

Raon was leaning against the door, barricading it with his body, alongside Lantos. The pitchy screaming from the other side of it was piercing, and it was a painful experience Raon wished he would never have had the displeasure to listen to, but for the sake of his brother, and for the sake of the Famiglia, here he was, holding it down.

He growled under his breath, muttering several angry curses, pushing back harder when the little monsters rammed against the door hard enough for the duo to bounce off its surface for a moment.

“We really need to get rid of them,” Cael sighed, sipping calmly on his tea.

Asenath was quick to look elsewhere, finding interest in a spider’s web hanging from the ceiling, whereas Kreig swiftly volunteered himself. Alterion pushed himself off the wall he had been leaning on, and had begun to stretch, ready for battle, when Cael spoke again.

“Hold on.”

They paused, although Asenath continued with his investigation of the web.

“You’re going out there, Sen,” Cael said.

There was a command in his calm tone, and Asenath jumped to attention. The teen stared in fear and betrayal at the leader, pleading with his eyes. But it proved to be fruitless when Cael only took another sip from his cup.
