Pride Roles
Pride roles | ||
Role name | Role description | Assigned members |
Royal family (King, Queen, heirs) | A small group consisting of a King, a Queen (or two Kings and two Queens), and any heirs to the throne. The Kings and/or Queens are responsible for most big decisions concerning the pride and their goal is to maintain structure, order and safety to the pride. |

Knights | A special group of lions who have achieved greatness in their time and, in doing so, achieved the title of Knight given to them by the members of the Royal family. | |
Warriors | A well trained and well disciplined group of lions, specializing in combat. They're responsible for keeping the pride safe from threats and are always the first to run towards danger in order to save the pride. |

Hunters | The fastest and stealthiest group of lions, trained in bringing down both big and small game to keep the prides bellies full. |
|
Scouts | Lions with the sharpest eyes and the ability to navigate any terrain. These lions go off on their own or in pairs and are responsible for observing and reporting any disturbances across the land. |
|
Nursers | A group of lionesses who are well adapted to deal with the demanding nature of the cubs. These lionesses provide milk and small meaty meals to the younger cubs, who are not yet ready to leave the den. |
|
Trainers | A team of lions, either retired from their duty or specialized in a task or knowledge, dedicated to passing down their knowledge to the younger members of the pride. These lions are responsible for the pride's success across generations. |

Researchers | A team of lions devoted to uncovering the secrets and knowledge of the area in order to develop new medicine, technology and food production and preservation methods. |
|
Botanist | Lions specializing in the dynamics of plants. These lions are able to easily identify plant type, function, uses and where they are found. These lions are also responsible for growing and harvesting plants across all seasons. |

Shaman | A unique lion gifted with the ability to read the souls. This lion has the ability to read past, present and future, however the things that are read may not always be clear. The ability to read the soul enables the Shaman to guide other lions to their true destinies. |

Healers | Lions equip with the medicine and knowledge to treat wounds and illnesses before they turn into serious threats. These lionesses have the knowledge of plant remedies and are able to identify which remedy is best suited for which illness or injury. |
|
Gatherers | Lions tasked with gathering resources including, but not limited, to plants and nesting materials. They have the basic knowledge of useful resources and harvesting techniques but often need the assistance of researchers or botanists. |
|
Law enforcement | The strongest and bravest lions who serve and protect the pride, ensuring that rules are followed and lions who disobey rules and endanger the pride are appropriately punished. |
|
Deity | Lions who are no longer simply lions. These are lions who have ascended into an almost god-like state of being. |
|
Elders | Lions who are too old to work but are still more than willing to lend the pride their knowledge and wisdom. | |
Cubs | The youth of the pride, currently too young to take up a role, but willing and eager to learn the basics. These lions are small and fragile and are well cared for by the pride. |
