What is a Desscentaur?
Desscentaurs (des-sent-ares) are a species of half faun half magical beings that reside in a dimension called Dessariah (des-are-ee-uh). The realm they reside in is more or less like a giant Candyland game, where mountains are made of fudge, clouds of cotton candy, snow made of ice cream, and rivers made of sweet drinks. All “living” beings are made of sweets, and the Desscentaurs are no exception. While they appear more or less humanoid, Desscentaurs can have any range of food-like qualities – and the more food-like they are, the more magically gifted they are. Desscentaurs are magicians in the kitchen, and in more ways than one. They are expertly skilled bakers and candy makers, but they also imbue their treats with magic, and are eager to share this helpful magic with others. They’ve made themselves at home in multiple dimensions through their magical Maid Cafes, and travel through their Dimensional Fridges to get to and from.
Desscentaurs live in a dimension called Dessariah, a land full of magical foods! Every living being in Dessariah is at least 50% food in composition, and by nature of their animation/"life", they all have magic in them! Desscentaurs are the descentents of the Ancient Desscentaurs of Terra Dulcis, the world before Dessariah formed. The Ancient Desscentaurs were full food centaurs, and they more or less dominated the young planet. You can read the full history and origin of Desscentaurs here!
Yes! Even if two Desscentaurs are based off the same dessert/flavor, because every baker decorates sweets differently, there's a likelyhood that while some Desscentaurs may share certain aesthetics they'll likely be different enough for it not to be an issue!
That being said, if there is an issue with someone copying, referencing, stealing, ect a Desscentaur's design, please be sure to alert a member of Staff and we will do what we can to help. We do not allow Desscentaurs to be carbon copies of existing/liscenced characters, however elements that allude to an existing/liscenced character are okay -- just so long as it's not a carbon copy!
Fantastic! Desscentaurs who work at a Maid Cafe are specially selected by Princess Shortcake herself! Your Desscentaur may not work at a Maid Cafe or say they work at a Maid Cafe otherwise. The criteria for those selected to work at a Maid Cafe is still pending! Once it's decided we'll be updating everyone and opening applications!
I'm afraid not! The Desscentaurs that work at Maid Cafes are hand picked by Princess Shortcake herself, as they have the qualities she feels fit for it! Trying to get around this rule in any way, or blatantly ignoring it all together, will result in warnings and blocks. There are plenty of incredible things on Dessariah for your Desscentaur to do!
No. While all Desscentaurs have some level of magic, they cannot all use interdimensional travel. Only Legendary Desscentaurs can preform it without exhausting themselves, which is why they often are the managers of the Maid Cafes under Princess Shortcake. Rare Desscentaurs grow exhausted after travel, and Commons even moreso. This is why they can only work at Maid Cafes for short periods of time! They also live in little apartments above the Maid Cafes while they work, as the journey takes a lot out of them. They cannot conjure the portals themselves, and must rely on Princess Shortcake's magical Fridge Portal to take them to their location and home again.

We have MYOs for sale on our cash store! You can purchase common or rare MYOs at any time, and occasionally there will be a few seasonal for sale as well! You also have a chance to get a MYO slot during some events!
Legendary Desscentaur MYOs will not be for sale. They are only available through official adopts! You do however have the ability to buy The Perfect Pastry from the store, which will allow you to add one legendary trait to an existing Desscentaur!
We take USD via PayPal! We also accept Sprinks, which is the in-species currency! You can earn Sprinks via art appraisals and by participating in the Weekly Prompts in the Desscentaur Discord! You can learn more about Sprinks here!
How do Art Appraisals work?
The Art Appraisal Center is the way that you earn Sprinks (in-species currency)! We have a set list of art items that can earn you Sprinks, and certain things will earn you more Sprinks than others! It's not about skill, it's about the time and effort you put into it! Earn extra Sprinks by drawing NPC/Staff Desscentaurs, and by drawing gifts for your fellow community members!
All perameters for what type of art earns you what amount of Sprinks is all here on the Art Appraisal page of our site! You can follow the lists to ensure the most Sprinks, or you can simply draw something and see what applies after! Once you've finished your masterpiece, you'll click on the Submit Prompt button to upload it! After it's uploaded, it'll be double checked by staff, and you'll recieve your Sprinks!
The Weekly Prompts are mini Q&As you can do in the Official Discord to earn Sprinks! They're fun questions to help you develop your Desscentaur, and they're entirely optional! They'll be posted every Sunday, so keep an eye out for those!
