MAIN SPECIES | Flaurere

Culture & Society

• Wind is held in high regard, making kites, dandelions, pinwheels, wind chimes all symbolic. Kites are seen as freedom, dandelions are seen as new beginnings and good luck, pinwheels are seen as joy and wind chimes are seen as good omens / protection. Leaf whistles are common too, associated with harmony. Birds are seen as freedom too, making them common pets.
• This makes the Wind Festival an extremely important celebration for all Flaurere to partake in. Activities consist of kite-racing, music bands, setting up wind chimes in the local area, planting dandelions and writing poetry.
• Pyrokinesis is generally frowned upon, but being born with it is not bad, just sometimes picked on. Necromancy is severely frowned upon and will have the user banished at once for historical reasons. Individual Flaurere can possess any magic.
• The home of Flaurere are always based in forests, that be magical or not.

• The plants of their body are reactive, and are able to express emotions. For example, they might close up when feeling nervous.
• Some plants make sounds when the wind blows by, and with this capability, harmonies are able to be made with many Flaureres of this skill.

SUBRARITY | Spectaure

• These Spectral subtypes are rarely seen, and have an odd behaviour. They tend to be mysterious and quite in nature, and can seem to be devoid of emotion. Spectaure are kept away from society in fear of the interruption of life.
• Seeing a Spectaure is considered a bad omen - a sign of bad luck. They are often in stories, especially to scare children out of doing things.
• Naturally, everything a Spectaure touches will wither. Contact between a Spectaure and a Flaurere is unknown for the fate of both. 
• Another ability all Spectaure possess is the ability to disappear into the mist they create. Any other abilities are permitted, though these two are required.
• Where they reside is unknown.

WATER SUBSPECIES | Aquarere

Culture & Society

• Water is what’s held in high regard for Aquarere, making Water Lilies their representative. Rivers, water wheels and water lilies symbolise the ongoing/cycle of life, sprinklers and fountains as the giving of life. Depending on the water source they base by, animals have meanings too. Fish symbolise uniting/friendship, octopus as intelligence, the likes. Which also makes them common pets.
• The Water Festival is an extremely important celebration. Activities consist of leaf-boat racing (tbd)
• Unlike Flaurere, there is not much that is frowned upon in terms of magic. However, Necromancy still appears to be a common with Aquarere as danger and banishment. Individual Aquarere can possess any magical ability.
• Aquarere can be based at several different water sources, though must commonly the ocean, forest rivers and swamps. 

• The plants of their body are reactive, just like Flaurere, and are able to express emotions. For example, they might close up when feeling nervous.
• When it rains, Aquarere may get together in little gatherings for rain dances, simply to enjoy and appreciate the water given by nature.
