Rare Aemones are individuals who have obtained soul essence illegally, therefore are experiencing unknown yet effects. Being an Aemone is not entirely safe - there have been cases of individuals having their memory erased or mood permanently altered. Their personality can also change drastically. Some have even drained the plasma out of themselves or broken their legs in an attempt to become a normal human again. It does grant immortality - but it's at the cost of getting more and more absorbed into the virtual world.
