Welcome to the Papoi Trait Guide!
Basic Papoi Anatomy: Papoi are small Jellyfish/Octopus looking creatures. They are only about 10 – 20 centimeters tall and normally have no tails. Papoi’s do not have a torso instead they have 3-4 bulb-like limbs that help them move around
Fish Papoi: Some Papoi can be seen with aquatic features. A Papoi can also be turned into a fish when it comes into contact with an item, but they must have an aquatic tail in order to use the item.
Ghost Papoi: Some Papoi can be seen with ghost features. A Papoi can transform into a ghost when coming into contact with the Ghost Flower. They can also obtain a tail when coming into contact with the Ghost Tail Fruit.
Common Traits
Common: They have no tail or other unusual features.
Tails: No tails.
Ears: Only rounded ears.
Common Papoi are unable to have mutations.
Uncommon Traits
Tails: Uncommon Papoi have regular tails.
Ears: Any ear shape and can also have horns.
Uncommon Papois can also have star dust on them, and you’ll sometimes see a Papoi with a floaters around them (Ghosts or Fish).
Uncommon Papoi can have mutations.
Rare Traits
Tails: Rare Papoi can have any tail shape which could be animal, plant-like, or objects.
Body/Face: Their bodies can be medled with objects (EX: Screens face, Masks). Scarring can also occur on rare Papoi’s.
Rare Papoi can have mutations.
Mutation Traits
Crystal Mutation: When a Papoi comes into contact with Crystal Sugar, their body will turn into glass.
Body Mutation: A Papoi with this mutation will have a different limb structure than the regular bulb like structure. They can be any shape or size.
Flame Mutation: When a Papoi comes into contact with Flame Grass they will either obtain a large fire like tail or small flames around their head.
Wing Mutation: Papoi can sometimes have wings. They can be any shape or size.
