How it all started. . .

It all started with an Eureka.

Today was the day when Stellar actually managed to create something new. Something spectacular. Something that even ELIAOS would approve of. Hopefully. It was a new software, one not like all the other Antivirus softwares out on the internet. It took blood, sweet, tears and sleepless nights with espresso close by to finally pull off her project. She originally was going to call it 'EYERIS' but thought against it as it sounded too corny and cheesy.

Another name she was going to call it was 'Morris', similar to the 'Morris Worm'. She thought it was clever initially, considering the Morris Worm is well, a computer worm. But, thought against as it wasn't original. It took some time before she picked a name finally. ADMINWARE. Yes, that is exactly what she called, however, she didn't know that name would spell the Antivirus Program's fate.

She pitched it to ELIAOS, fixing her glasses nervously. She was excited, yet also very nervous. She was actually quite surprised to hear that the Founders themselves would like to see what her product was. It's been years since anyone's seen the ELIAOSIAN founders and she took this as a treat. Even if they declined her product project, she would still be happy to see them, even if a bit disappointed that her project wasn't seen as remarkable. All she could do was hope it didn't come to that.

All was going well for a while, the founders seemed to like it and Stellar sure felt stellar about it. She was practically beaming, the nervousness had long since melted away. Then something happened. A... thing formed. It looked small, a bit pixelated, but it was there, moving around on the desktop.

"Stellar. What in gods' name is this?" Said one of the Founders, pouting at the monitor of their screen.
"I agree. It looks... weird." Said another, crossing their arms and raising their gray eyes to meet the now worried young woman's.
"Well, I think it's cute. Like those...shimeji things." Said a more kinder Founder as they peered at the screen. The 'Shimjei' seemed to return the gaze as it sat on the task bar.
The last founder said nothing as they watched their other co-founders look at the screen in bewilderment and mild shock. They seemed to be studying it. Finally, the 4th founder said coolly, "Interesting."

"Interesting indeed."
