In order to create a character for the Coastal Clans ARPG, you must first have at least one character slot unlocked. Character slots can be unlocked in a variety of different ways, including the following:

1. Upon joining the Discord Server, you automatically unlock two domestic cat character slots to use as you please.
2. Raffles and contests are periodically held in the Discord Server.
3. Existing characters can have litters of kittens. For more information about kit mechanics, please see the Having Kits page.
4. Some storyline events may bring new cats into the Clans or the surrounding area.

To create a character for the Coastal Clans ARPG, please make sure to do the following:

1. Acquire a character slot to use.
2. Design your character and upload the image to Toyhouse.
3. Name your character and give it some (or a lot of) information. A minimum of the character's name, rank and Clan is required. Your character CANNOT start out as a Deputy.
4. Set your character's Boundaries. This will determine whether certain events, risks and injuries can or cannot happen to your character. Keep in mind that disallowing certain things may bar you from partaking in certain activities or events, but not all. Boundaries can be changed at any time by the character's owner.
5. Determine your character's Skill Points. Your character will start off with the minimum skill points for the rank you choose, and you may distribute these skill points however you see fit.
6. Register your character to the Allegiances (Masterlist) by filling out the form in the #masterlist channel in the Discord Server!

Make sure you have followed all the rules and guidelines on this page to make sure your character gets approved for use in the Coastal Clans ARPG!

1. You can repurpose existing OCs to use within this universe, as long as they can fit in properly.
2. Characters can be inspired off of canonical media, but should not be direct copies or obvious rip offs of them.
3. You can use your characters for this universe outside of this universe if you please.
4. No sexual content can be used within this group.

1. Character names can be silly but must be appropriate (no references to drugs, slurs, or sexual things).
2. Character information and backstory can be anything that makes sense within the context of the setting and works with the slot type you have available.

1. Designs should be either realistic or semi realistic, but with allowance for stylization.
2. All accessories are allowed so long as they do not contain offensive symbols or language.
3. Fur and skin colours can be any earthy sort of colour, this includes colours that are less "natural" so long as they are not bright neon colours.
4. Eye colours can be anything.
