Hi this is for starhabit and Malamandar 's closed species called Punies!

Forming from the coldest places where the snow falls thickest, Punies are crystallized from sparkly snow clouds that form after only the thickest blankets of snow fall over the land. Punies are a hybrid of polar bears and unicorns in appearance however are no larger than 25cm in height and as light as a feather.

The Puni species have been studied for more than 500 years and have been believed to have existed for 3000 years. During this time, Punies have learned to use their horns to produce magic which lets them control a singular element. Some however, have mastered the ability to  blend several elements, these are rare. Magical energies are stored in the Puni’s forehead gem(s). The number of gems will indicate the magical prowess of the Puni.

The Puni are glittered with sparkles across their form and are indicative of their disposition. Pastel and light sparkles indicate a healthy and good Puni, those with dark sparkles are corrupt and control shadows and darker elements that are not known to uncorrupt Punies.

Horns are symbolic of the Puni’s status and power within the Puni world. Although the Puni are generally free creatures that live under a liberal government body, there are still Royal and powerful Puni that help to guide the decisions of the younger newborn Puni.

Punies can have humanoid hands or paws, this is generally a choice they make and is reversible using tonics generated by Puni mages. In addition some rare Puni develop extra fluff and fur around their necks, ankles, wrists or tails to protect themselves from the harsh cold as these Puni are born extra sensitive to the weather.

Punies tend be very shy with a mischievous streak. They are playful and very helpful and tend to be seen buzzing about each other in pairs or small groups. The Puni are a unit species, often relying on each other to help build communities and support. They all have allocated duties, much of which consists throwing sparkles at passer-bys and glittering the snowy landscape.

The Puni diet consists of fruits, fish and ice for hydration. They enjoy collecting shiny trinkets to hold and wear or gift to each other. These may include sparkly or iridescent fish scales or rock and minerals found in the high altitude mountainous regions.

Puni partners will often exchange their most prized gem/scale/trinket with each other as a symbol of love and trust for the other Puni.
