Anatomy

Shoki are assumed to be created by a demon that lurks in the bowels of the valley.

Their bodies are said to be a conglomeration of remains that have been lost in the tainted ocean. Their bodies are remolded during their transformation, and while most parts are cast away, some still remain intact.

Skin, Color, and Markings

Parts of shoki can be covered in fur, feathers, or skin - but most of their body is made up of a firm slime that is protected by a thin, translucent membrane.

There's no limit to colors or markings, inside or out.

Face Plate

Their faceplates take up a majority of their face (from the brow or hairline to the top lip) and come in all variety of shapes!

Horns

Horns are optional. They come in a variety of shapes, sizes, types, and amounts! The horns shown above are examples.

Ears

They only have a pair of ears on either side of their head. Ears can be any shape or size! The ears shown above are examples.

Eyes

They have solid colored pupils completely surrounded by dark colored sclera. Their pupils can be any shape or color.

Paws

Their paw pads cover the entire underside of their hands and feet! They can also have claws. Amount of fingers/toes does not matter.

Tail

Tails are optional, and they can only have one! Tails are generally smooth and tapered at the end but come in a variety of shapes and sizes. The tail shown above is just an example.

Shoko are designed and owned by cheeriko.

Blessings

Shoki, like phari, can also receive blessings from the gods - albeit only one blessing can be applied via a blessed talisman gifted by its respective god.

Talismans can be purchased from the shop or earned during events.

Bird Wings

All purpose bird wings. Must be placed along the back!

Centaur Body

These shoki help their fellow shoko out with transportation and other similar labour.

Insect Wings

All purpose insect wings. Must be placed along the back!

Hooves

Can either be normal or cloven. Shoko with these have a particularly deadly kick.

Summer

Manta Wings

All purpose manta ray wings. Must be placed along the back!

Multiple Limbs

Shoki blessed with these either have an extra set of ears, eyes, arms, or tails.

Autumn

Bat Wings

All purpose bat wings. Must be placed along the back!

Chameleon Skin

These shoki can change between a primary and secondary color palette at will!

Are their legs digitigrade or plantigrade?

Either is fine! Whatever you're the most comfortable with.

Can I make one?

As long as you have permission in the form of an MYO slot! If you have no MYO slot, you're allowed to design one but are only allowed to post it privately.

Yep, that's totally okay!

Can my shoko glow in the dark?

Yes, they can definitely have glow-in-the-dark markings and colors.

May I use my shoko as a sona?

Of course!

Can I make another character I have into a shoko?

Obscura Transfer

I have an old obscura design that's not on the masterlist, what can I do with it?

All obscura designs will be grandfathered in - you can even keep the original design if you'd like! Though any complete redesigns must follow this guide.

To request your Obscura be added to the masterlist, please fill out the Add Obscura form on this post - make sure you have proof of ownership!

Once added, you'll be given the Boon of Distortion item as well for each obscura owned - in case you'd like to redesign later!

I have an uncommon/rare obscura - how do they fit in?

They don't fit into the world lore anymore but don't worry! You'll either be given a common MYO ticket or a blessed MYO ticket of the species of your choice as a gift.

These have also been retroactively added - so if you had a kokuya or kokoyi, you'll have the ticket in your inventory! (If you don't, please fill out an Other form on this post.)

I changed my design to a shokoki during last year's transition, can I change them back to an obscura?

Yes! As long as they're listed as a Legacy Design or Legacy MYO on the masterlist, they can be changed back into an obscura.

If your design was a legacy design/myo and it's not listed as such - please fill out an Other form on this post and we'll correct it ASAP.

I don't really want my obscura anymore but I'm interested in other species in the group or I want to start off fresh, what can I do?

You have the option to surrender your design to the group for either a common MYO ticket (for a common obscura), a blessed MYO ticket (for an uncommon obscura), or a common & blessed MYO ticket (for a rare obscura). You can not trade back once they've been surrendered.

The surrendered design will be rehauled by cheeriko and will be used as prizes. They will not be sold under any circumstance.

I have a voided legacy design...may I unvoid it?

Yes, since we've moved and revamped (again), we're happy to unvoid your design! You will have to provide proof of ownership. Do do this, please fill out an Other form on this post.
