With the spooky season in the horizon, the Chocoland President has offered the aid of their must trustworthy party planner - Candina - to help the Dinos throw a party with a lil bit of a fun competition!"

The competition has 2 teams, with each team having 3 NPC Team Leaders:

[By clicking on each banner, it will lead you to the home base of each team; each home-base has two submissions channel - Dinoctober and 'Hauntings' - for both aspects of the event. Additionally, there will be self-roles in the Discord that will lead to team chatting/planning channels. To claim a team + rules, keep reading the info below!]
The goal is for each team to do mini-prompts to support their own team AND attack the opposing team through 'Hauntings.'
The Team with the most points wins x1 Ghost Poofs* (Limited Item), 3 Nuggets, and a special role in the Discord Server!

Claiming a Team:
In order to claim a team:
- Go to this forum post, labeled "Team Claiming Info Form."
- Follow the instructions listed in the forum.
- Please keep in mind that we will be trying to balance the teams out as fairly as we can. (i.e., one team having 20 people while the other has 10). We will be asking the most recent person(s) to switch teams in the case we have to even out membership size. When joining a team, keep in mind the size and consider joining the other if an imbalance is showing!
You can now grab a role in the Discord Server to chat with your team! If we have to rebalance the teams, we will comment back to you in the forums.
[This is a bit of an adaptation from 'Inktober' challenge!]
- Each player on either team will submit up to two 'DINOctober' prompts for 10 days.
- You can only do a submission of 1 piece per prompt per day* (if you do both prompts, then it'll be 2 submissions a day!). Each submission must be a separate comment. (*a day counts as 24 hours, or until the new prompts are announced!). If you need an extension, please let the mod team know!
- All prompt submissions MUST be black and white, no color allowed; they can be done digitally or traditionally. Do not worry over the complexity/quality/style of your art, as this is meant to be fun challenge! <33
- A DINOctober prompt will be posted here in this forum, every day around 10 PM CST.
- All submission must be SFW and abide to the Candy Dino rules/TOS.
- The minimum art requirements are as follows:
- Bust-up/shoulder-up of the humanoid form OR fullbody Dino form with an accessory somewhere in the piece (i.e., prop, item of clothing, shop item).
- You may use your own Dinos, Dinos owned by your Team members ONLY, or your Team Leader NPCs. (You may use the request channel on the server or find volunteered Dinos in the Team Claiming's thread).
- Each DINOctober submission at base grants you: 1x Ticket for Candina's Door, 200 points for your team, and 1x MYO fragment.
- By doing certain bonuses, you can earn more points for your team! Regardless of how many bonuses, you will always earn x1 Ticket and x1 MYO fragment for fairness sake!
- You can collaborate with a partner to earn an extra x1 Ticket! (can only be done for 1 submission a day; each person gets said extra ticket).
- In the cases of collabs: only one person must do the submission, and you must tag the other person.
- Players who get a total of x20 MYO fragments will earn a Candy Dino MYO + item/trait of choice (does not include Ghost Poofs/limited items)!
- Each player can attack the opposite team once per day*! The attack submissions occur in the home base forum of the opposite team (i.e., Team Ghosts submits the attacks in the Ghouls' Haunting channel). (the day resets when the new prompts are announced around 10 PM CST).
- These attacks don't have a specific prompt; however, they all must be related to Halloween or be spooky-related in some fashion!
- These submissions may be either black and white OR in-color, up to you!
- All submission must be SFW and abide to the Candy Dino rules/TOS.
- The minimum art requirements are as follows:
- Bust-up/shoulder-up of the humanoid form OR fullbody Dino form with an accessory somewhere in the piece (i.e., prop, item of clothing, shop item).
- You MUST use the Dinos from the opposite team players or the opposite team's Leader NPCs. (You may use the request channel on the server or find volunteered Dinos in the Team Claiming's thread).
- Each Haunting submission at base grants you: x1 Ticket for Candina's Door and 300 points for your team.
- By doing certain bonuses, you can earn more points for your team!
- You can collaborate with up to two partners to earn an extra x1 Ticket!
- In the cases of collabs: only one person must do the submission, and you must tag the other person(s).
- Each Haunting done by the opposite team makes your team lose -100 points! (i.e., Ghost player attacks Team Ghouls, they earn 300 points, Ghouls lose 100 points).

Chocoland's Event Comes to a Close!
Hey Candy Dino Lovers! After a month of fun in Billy's Survival Gameshow in Chocoland, it's time to learn about the fate of the Candy Dinos. This was all determined by if the Dinos could surpass the threshold of 40,000 total points! Therefore, it's time to reveal how many points everyone gained:
185,010 POINTS!
This is a lot of points, if you ask me! From the total amount, here's your top point earner, who won a special role in the Discord server, an emote by GDE, and a special place in the Candy Dino Lorebook:
mayuniki, who earned a total of 53,500 points through the adventures of Pacific and Billy's dress up game!
Our runner-up who won an animated emote by GDE was Snowy_410, they earned a total of 53,000 points through some of the mischief fun that Billy and Dr. Wally had!

Halloween Event, New Limited Item, & New NPC, Candina!
Our Halloween Event will be starting tentatively on Oct. 21st to Nov. 1st; we're currently working on tying some loose ends from the Chocoland event + working on details for this upcoming one. The Dinos will be paired into two teams: Team Ghosts and Team Ghouls, and compete against each other with some DINOctober prompts!
Our Halloween NPC, Candina, will be making a debut during our Halloween event! She's ready for a FANG-tastic time with treats (and especially tricks) when hanging out with the Dinos.

- You may do these mini-quests 1 EVERY TWO HOURS THIS LAST BOARD RESET. Moreover, each of these mini-quests you do will earn you 600 points per submission.

- Billy loves being the center of attention! If you include Billy in any of your quest submissions, he will grant you a random extra (could be points, or tickets, or more? Who knows!)

6 tickets = randomly rolled item in the wheel; Billy can include Veto squares where you earn nothing!
10 tickets = randomly rolled item in the wheel, Billy will let this one slide and not include any veto squares.

All Dino's can do quests to accumulate the total points but there's a catch!
The quests have a time limit and if you fail the points are deducted!

What are Quests?
The Quests are ranked from: F,D,B,A,S class!! The greater the class the greater the reward and difficulty!

Chocoland is rich so the rewards are never before seen! Not only do you get sweet freedom but rewards as mysterious Candy Dino eggs from who knows where, Dino nuggets and so much more!
| Semi-MYO: A dino that only has Dino form and is up to you to design the human form based on the Dino's colors! (you can make small changes! Ex. below is blank) | Mystery Egg: Works similar to a semi-myo where you get to make a dino based on the egg's pattern+colors. | Blank Egg: A vulnerable artificial candy dino egg developed illegally in chocoland! Works as a MYO ticket but must be made by the time the event ends or the egg disappears. | MYO Ticket: A standard MYO ticket that's been hard to find these days... There is no time limit and you can trade these tickets after 2 weeks! | |

These quests are by no means easy! Billy designed these quests with love and hope to see the Candy Dino's suffer!
Will the Candy Dino's submit and suffer? NO! With great grit and tenacity I believe the Candy Dino's will win against the underworld and bring justice to light!
How are Quests renewed?
Every time a quest is completed it will be replaced with a new quest shortly after! For the first week of quests there will be 10 main quests that can only be taken by ONE ☝️ person! Once those quests are taken or completed we will add more quests every 2-5 days! (Completed quests will be archived in the Chocoland page)
The following quests after the 1st 10 can have multiple people taking the quest at once! (You’ll know which quests are the first 10 because they’re all numbered) There may be a limitation to certain quest on how many people can take them though!
Now... How to join the Quests?
First! There's a set of rules you have to follow!
- No more than 1 quest at a time! Each quest have a 5 day cooldown and some may have a time limit!
-Failure to complete the quests by the time limit results in minus points for the overall Dino's points!
-Your actions are monitored and you may not get outside help/cheating in the quests!
-All Quest submissions must go through the Google Form submissions!
-For special quests we will message your inbox for quest items!
-Please have good sportsmanship!! Even if you fail your Dino is still alive and can try another quest next time!
-Quests are renewed every 2-5 days!
-If you don't own a Dino and your quest requires a Dino, feel free to use any of the NPCs found here!

Some quests are faster to complete than others. We will tell people in the #survival-game chat once a quest has been refreshed, reposted, and ready to be claimed! September Update: Quest Event, New Lore, & Guest Batch!
A New Chapter: This Way to Chocoland...
Candy Dinos are back, with a new chapter of their adventures! Hey Dino Enthusiasts, it's been a while! We apologize for the overall delays in starting a new chapter of the Candy Dino saga. With school starting (and the entire mod team coming down with illness), working on this new event took us a bit. But the wait is over! Read below to find out!
Below are the following dates for events/updates this month:
New Lore Unlocked [Sept. 11th]: The Candy Dinos have arrived to Chocoland, a sugary commercial city where dreams come true! That is, until they begun to feel sleepy, as a tall shadow began approached them, just before introducing himself as 'Billy'... (To read more on the lore, check out our Chocoland Introduction here!)
GDE-17 Community Raffle Dino [Sept.11th to Oct. 15th]: A new raffle Dino has been posted; check out them out here!
"Chocoland Questboard Event" + NEW NPC [Sept. 15th to Oct. 15th]: This upcoming event will reveal the current Candy Dino's location, as well as how can they escape from Chocoland. Players will have to take on quests, find hidden eggs, and beat the big bad leader of Chocoland, our latest NPC, Billy Honka! You can find his profile here!
Guest Artist Batch [Sept. 16th]: This batch will feature 9 GAs portraying the theme of Chocoland Citizens! These GA adopts will be Bid-To-Adopt or Offer-to-Adopt!
Biweekly Dino [Sept. 11th to Sept. 23nd]: A new biweekly Candy Dino has been chosen! Feel free to check out the biweekly-dino-bite channel in the server for more information to earn nuggets and be entered to a raffle!
Booster GDE-17 Dino Raffle [Sept. 11th to Sept. 30th]: A Candy Dino Premade is being raffled out to booster this month! Check out booster-raffles in the server for more information.

Monthly Prompt: "Chocoland Quest Event"
The Monthly Prompt for this month will consist of participation to the new Chocoland Quest that will be out by Sept. 15th! This new event will see the development of our NEW NPC: the Chocoland leader and show host, Billy Honka! His design can be seen next to the monthly prompt box. As a general reminder: most of the Chocoland citizens tend to have the "MOLTEN LAVA CAKE" trait, so they charastically have chocolate chunks or melting lava on their designs!
Here is also the reveal of the SURPRISE AF Event award for reaching 10 submissions!
