Welcome to the trait list of Anita Inus! Please take your time and read everything carefully! If you have any questions, feel free to ask blackdogz!

FAQ:
Are there Bases for Inus?
No, there are not. Since an Inu can be any dog breed depending on the slot, it'd be too big of a hassle to make bases. You're free to use any base you may find as long as the creator is alright with it being used for species.

Are there any color limitations?

As long as your Inu isn't pure white, there are no color limits! Pure white Inus are those who are un-bonded - they either haven't found their restraints or lost theirs a long time ago.

Do eyes have rarities?
No! Any eye shape, color, etc. is allowed. The only limitation we have is, if there are more than two eyes, you need a spectral key.

What's the difference between a conjoined Inu and a multi-headed Inu?

Conjoined, in Inu Lore, describes a pair of Inus connected in a way that leaves 3/4ths of both bodies visible. Think a character such as Catdog. You need two seperate slots and the required trait upgrades for these inus.
Multi-Headed is simply as it says!

Are extinct Canine species allowed? What species would they be?
Extinct canines are restricted to the highest rarity species, the sea-dwellers. Non-Canine extinct species, such as Sabretooth or Dinosaurs, fit under the mythic category of mutations and require a spectral key.

Do the Balls need a face?
Of some form, yes! Their face can just be a singular eye, or even just a mouth, but because it is alive and sentient, it needs facial features.

Basics:
Ears can be any shape found on a canine. The only limitations we have on ears are:
More than two ears is considered a mutation and requires a spectral key.
No ears is considered a mutation and requires a spectral key.
(This does not apply if you are using a spectral key to change the head shape to an animal without ears such as a gator or a bird.)

Tails can be any canine tail shape. The only limitations we have on tails are:
Non-Canine tails, such as cat tails, gator tails, or bird tails, are considered mutations and require spectral keys.
Mythical/Extinct tails, such as a demonic tail, a dragon tail, or a dinosaur tail, are considered mutations and require require spectral keys.

Spirit leakage can be found on various parts of the body, and there's more common spots than there are rare. There are a few limitations on these:
Common locations are the Head, Back, Chest, and Tail. Mutated locations are leaking from the Ball & Chain itself and/or the paws.
Having more than one spirit position, such as having one on the tail and one on the head, is considered a mutation and requires a spectral key.
Having a multi-colored soul is considered a mutation and requires a spectral key.
(Multi-colored in this instance means two completely separate types of colors. A pastel red and a dark red are considered the same color space. Blue and Red are not.)

Mutations:

Each mutation is part of a subgroup. These subgroups are unlocked with one spectral key each. When they're unlocked, you may add anything from that subgroup without needing extra spectral keys.
EXAMPLE: An Inu may have both a flora composition and a liquid composition without needing more than one spectral key.

Multi Subgroup:
This subgroup is dedicated to mutations where a part of the body is multiplied.

Facial Duplicates:
The ears, Eyes, and/or Mouth have multiplied! These are only found on the head, as eyes and mouths on other parts of the body is considered part of the Mythical subgrouping.
Limb Duplicates:
The legs, tail, and/or head have been duplicated! The legs may have up to two extras and the head one extra. Any more is considered part of the Mythical subgrouping. There's no limit to the amount of tails one can have.
Multi-Spirited/Souled:
An Inu's own spirit and the one in their Ball clash, causing them both to leak out of the Inu's body.
Common x Common Spirit Placement = One spectral key
Common x Rare Spirit Placement = Two spectral keys
Rare x Rare Spirit Placement = Two spectral keys

Multi-Colored Spirit:
An Inu's own spirit and the one in their Ball clash, causing them both to color the spirit leakage.
Multi-Ball & Chained:
An Inu can have more than one destined restraint, causing them to have more than one ball and chain.

Mythical Subgroup:
This subgroup is dedicated to mutations where an Inu takes on appearances of mythical creatures, such as dragons and unicorns.

Non-Canine Head:
The Inu's head takes the shape of an extinct or mythical animal, such as a dragon or a sabretooth tiger.
Maw Mouth:
An Inu's jaw and mouth have become sharp and dangerous, they have a violent underbite and tusks to rival those of orcs.
Maw mouth can be used to make one of these mouth examples:
unknown.pngHorns:
Horns have sprouted from these Inu's head. They can resemble those of a ram, those of demons, or anything else.
Halo:
A shining halo sits above these Inu's heads. It could be a simple ring or something more detailed and intimidating.
Snake Tongue:
A long, forked tongue replaces an Inu's normal tongue.
Carving Claws:
An Inu's front paws are replaced with dangerously sharp claws. These Inus have to be very careful with how they interact with the world around them or they risk hurting themselves and others.
Mythical Tail & Wings:
These inus have the wings of creatures like dragons or angels, and/or the tails of demons and other mythical creatures.
Cross-Species:
These "Inus" are mixes of other original species, humanoid or not! They've run into their own destined chain and have gained traits of Inus.
This trait is much like Dainty's crossbreed trait, in which you can combine another species with traits of this one!
You must have an MYO of both species in order to use this trait and you must  follow both of our species' guidelines.
If your Inu is your primary species, it must be either feral or anthro, not humanoid. If a humanoid species is your main, then it can be humanoid!

You must show proof of owning a slot for both species.

Cross-Species Subgroup:
This subgroup is dedicated to mutations where an Inu takes on appearances of real creatures, such as cows or horses.

Non-Canine Head:
The Inu's head takes the shape of another animal, such as a cat.
They cannot take on the appearance of a fish/shark/whale/etc. unless they are sea-dwelling.
Non-Canine Tail:
The Inu's tail takes the shape of another animal, such as a cat.
They cannot take on the appearance of a fish/shark/whale/etc. unless they are sea-dwelling.
Beaks:
These Inus have gained the beaks of a bird! Any bird species is okay!
Hooves:
The back paws of these Inu's body have turned into hooves! They can look closed like a horse or cloven like a deer.

Composition Subgroup:
This subgroup is dedicated to mutations where an Inu, their ball & chain, and/or their spirit takes on traits of nature and other things.

Edible:
Parts of these Inu's bodies, spirits, or chains have become edible! It's common to find some of these Inus with bites taken out of them - it doesn't hurt them and they grow back slowly.
Mineral:
Parts of these Inu's bodies, spirits, or chains have become stone/crystals/etc. These Inus are heavy and sluggish, often struggling to move around due to the weight of their material.
Flora:
Parts of these Inu's bodies, spirits, or chains have become plant-life! These Inus are often overflowing with natural magic, leaving trails of plant-life in their path as they walk around.
Air:
Parts of these Inu's bodies, spirits, or chains have become gas! These Inus are often incorporeal, able to pass through sollid matter with ease.
Liquid:
Parts of these Inu's bodies, spirits, or chains have become liquid matter, such as water! These Inus often avoid other members of their species, living as solidary as possible.
Void:
Parts of these Inu's bodies, spirits, or chains have become void/space matter! There's not much known about these strange Inus, as they're very rare.
Glitch:
Parts of these Inu's bodies, spirits, or chains have become pure technology! Fading in and out of ancient tech, these Inus are most at home in abandoned bunkers of military grade tech or other similar locations.
Cluttered:
Parts of these Inu's bodies, spirits, or chains have become filled with inanimate objects, such as charms or stars. These parts of their bodies are see-through to show off the items.

Sub-Species:
These Inus are different from the common domestic dog-breeds you see in the cities, often wild animals. If you have any questions, please send a message to blackdogz!
