THE PASTEvents that happened in the past

Residing on a planet that used to produce magic, small creatures, called Ikytomos, often used it for daily activities and for the benefit of the population. Despite being a common resource, little was known about the magic and they were aware that caution was needed around it.

Besides them, beings created from magical particles, emitted by the soil, coexisted within their community. Those beings were believed to have perpetually inhabited the world, but were only able to assume a form due to the gradual increase of the planet's magic production. Being called Celestial Deities and usually keeping their appearances the same as Ikytomos, they stood out for being faceless and having a body along with powers of a single vibrant color.

The more deities appeared, the more society craved power as well. Consequently, some ignored the possible dangers and inserted large amounts of magic into their bodies, but they were not resistant enough to withstand such energy and began to transform into uncontrolled creatures, getting their anatomy and physical abilities modified. Like the deities, they also had monochromatic tones, however, their bodies as well as the magic they possessed became completely black, with the exception of their white eyes; those began to be called Terror Deities.

Displaying aggressive behavior, the Ikytomos who had succumbed to black magic, now called Terror Deities, would attack other Ikytomos and contaminate them with it. While resistance efforts began to emerge, containing the corrupted ones proved viable solely through the intervention of the colorful magic of Celestial Deities, which completely extinguished them upon contact with it.

However, the environment suffered the repercussions of escalating contamination, reaching a point where the planet began to produce black magic instead of colorful magic. This proliferation tainted the atmosphere, instigating mutations in plants and animals alike. Eventually, all surviving Ikytomos underwent transformation into Terror Deities, with the exception of Celestial Deities who remained shielded by the colorful magic inherent in their bodies.

In total, twelve Celestial Deities were created in different parts of the world, and once gathered, they formed a team to make it all come to an end. Uniting their magic, a large, bright and colorful sphere was formed, it emanated an energy with power never seen before.

The sphere was thrown directly at Terror Deities, extinguishing a large number of them and affecting the entire planet, stopping its natural magic production. As a consequence, all the magic the world had was gone, and without the magical environment to sustain the existence of Celestial Deities, they would gradually disappear.

With the thought of being the only inhabitants of the world, the twelve deities knew that the wish of many Ikytomos was for their species to endure, and they were resolute in fulfilling this wish. As a result, they devised an alternative method of reproduction: a ritual.

While on the search for Ikytomos' genetics to be used on it, such as fur and hair strands, they were faced with the destruction their powers caused to the surroundings. Taking responsibility for their actions, they used their magic to restore a significant portion of nature and rebuild buildings. Many animals ensured their survival by seeking refuge in places beyond the sphere's influence.

Amidst the restoration efforts, the deities pondered the future and recognized the need to preserve their powers for the benefit of the world and its inhabitants after their departure. They transformed the rock formations into a living being with a resemblance to Ikytomos and shared their magic along with their knowledge with them, naming it Torka and assigning them to provide assistance to the planet and its future population.

After ensuring the continued existence of magic, the first ritual was performed in the very region where the initial Torka was created. Using the genetics obtained from Ikytomos, the group was able to successfully create the babies, which were left in the care of the Torka for the same to be done in other regions.

Once their main concerns were addressed, the deities parted ways and dedicated their final weeks of existence to ensuring global stability, such as continuing to restore the environment in different parts of the planet and preventing natural disasters from happening.

Even after Celestial Deities were no longer in the world, Torkas remain loyal to them and both are highly respected by Ikytomos. The buildings in which Torkas reside began to be called sanctuary and they remain always open to the villagers, also operating as a repository for the material goods of Ikytomos' ancestors; their history was written in books by Torkas and the practice of reproduction through ritual was maintained.

Presently, many myths and legends about Terror Deities have proliferated amongst Ikytomos. While a few postulate the survival of some of them, such ideas are speculative and exist alongside many other theories.

THE PRESENTDescriptions of the present moment

Ikytomos exhibit adeptness in crafting various materials, whether out of necessity or for leisure. The disparate communities, scattered throughout the land, uphold a culture of mutual respect and frequently engage in the exchange of goods among themselves. They extend invitations to one another for participation in festivals, events or banquets, often accompanied by lively music. In these communities, shops and employment opportunities are commonplace, with hybrid seeds serving as the predominant currency. These seeds, renowned for their uniquely flavored fruits, result from the crossbreeding of two or more seed varieties during specific circumstances, rendering them highly prized commodities.

While many Ikytomos do not find it necessary to don clothing, those who do typically adhere to a renowned fashion trend featuring garments and accessories crafted from natural materials. Leaves, ores, and plant fibers are the primary resources utilized for fashioning such pieces, with these materials often transported to regions where they are scarce. Ikytomos' abodes vary, ranging from dwellings within trees, mushrooms, and caves to self-constructed houses made from foliage, wood, and stone.

The world's magic has become increasingly scarce since the interruption of its natural production, with the sanctuary now serving as its primary source. As custodians of magic, Torkas are the only ones who resolve all matters related to it, whether they are of critical importance or pertain to daily life. To prevent a recurrence of past tragedies, Torkas cannot share the vast amount of magic they store or possess with Ikytomos, and to reinforce its protection, they have assistants of great trust. They also rarely leave the sanctuary and have no participation in festivities, as when these happen, the sanctuary is closed for a time to rest.

 Important Figures

Celestial Deities were beings created from the particles of magic that the world once had, but are extinct nowadays. As they were composed of particles, they could assume various forms, but limited to the color corresponding to their magic and never with the presence of a face. The beings had no real name and all of their titles were given by Ikytomos's ancestors, ranging from "Celestial Deities" to "The Twelve", "Planet's Souls" and "Faceless Guardians". Their relationship with the villagers was peaceful and they communicated with them through gestures, each had their own personality and reasoning abilities. The deities had a great affection not only for Ikytomos, but for all creatures on the planet.

Torkas are beings created from stones who have warm earthy tones, white clothes and three fused ears. They can transform themselves into statues to fall asleep, thus maintaining their vital energy and being able to live for millennia. In addition, they possess colorful magic granted by Celestial Deities and can usually be found where there is a greater concentration of Ikytomos. Torkas are able to speak and can communicate via morse code using the single communicator on their forehead, they have difficulty understanding emotions and prioritize orders received from the deities above everything else, the main one being the protection of Ikytomos.

You can create as many Torkas as you want, but making adopts or using them in prompts is not allowed.
