Gamedachi History

---

Gamedachi were built by a toy company as robot companions for children, their big, bright faces and soft, plush bodies designed to be both safe for kids and tough. They soon became a popular item, both with their target audience and with collectors. What made gamedachi stand out against their competitors was their well-developed AI and electronic brains, making them intelligent, living beings capable of truly becoming friends with their owner. This also means they're capable of developing personalities and interests, as well as logging memories.

General Information

---

They are soft-touch robotic animals, soft-touch meaning their bodies are built from soft plush material and furs. Within their head is a hard shell, made of either plastic or metal depending on the size of the gamedachi, containing the inner workings of both their electronic brain and their screen face. They control their limbs via strong, flexible wires. Larger gamedachi have weighted beans in the ends of their limbs.

While they don't come with any accessories, a more developed gamedachi might wear clothes or accessories, things that they've found which appeal to them. Some owners might add new details to their gamedachi, such as sowing on pouches, pockets or decorations, and occasionally when a gamedachi gets damaged, they might end up with a patch or two of fabric.

They usually develop a personality centered around the lifestyle of their owner, though those who are not as close to their owner, or live a more transient lifestyle are able to develop a unique personality built off personal experiences. A brand new gamedachi will behave much like any other robotic companion, such as a furby, using pre-programmed phrases and expressions, but their behaviour will gradually get more complex and intelligent as they gather information and build a personality.
