Alphonse

⇀ Description

Aphonse (Al) is a Frankenstein’s Monster based kowaiko. While he might look a bit intimidating, Al’s soft heart makes him a complete pushover. Soft-spoken, Al makes an easy target for teasing. Since he’s always been a bit bullied, he found a love for comic books, which often helped him to escape his own reality. He is completely infatuated with the idea of super heroes, especially the edgy anti hero types (like his favorite, SPAWN, who he tries to look like).

While he’d like to become a hero, Al is a bit of a scaredy cat, but he tries his best to push past his fears and follow his dreams. Since he doesn’t really have superpowers, Al tries to help out with his one good ability: engineering. Al often takes up jobs in his town to help fix appliances or invent machinery that might do good for others. If you need a mechanic, Al’s your man. With his different prosthetic arms, he usually gets the job done quick.

⇀ Quirks & Abilities

• When Al is feeling sad, He escapes to his "safe spot" which is a literal small safe in his room, big enough for him to squeeze into. He likes to lock himself in there for a while and read comic books by flashlight.

• He has the ability to absorb or redirect currents of electricity into other devices. (though, not without any physical repercussions)

• His third eye(forehead) excretes a black mucus whenever Al is feeling overly stressed. His right eye (that he got from some shady man at that black market) can see into people's future and see glimpses of their end. Al didn't like it, so he stitched it shut.

• He sometimes taps or twists his neck bolts when he's in deep thought.

• He owns a motorcycle with a side car that he likes to put his bulldog, Ed, in.

• He has his own Spooktube channel where he posts nerdy videos. Made unintentionally popular by the help of his friends.

⇀ Background

Al was born from the body parts of many different people and kowaikos. Over the many years he's lived, he's taken up several different identities (6 of them not including his current look). Due to his many body and personality changes, he’s already forgotten most of who his master was, but still experiences blurry visions of his master from time to time in his dreams.

Each part of Al will betray him if not stitched up properly. Since the pieces of the different kowaiko don't belong with each other, they don't fit right or sometimes act against Al’s wishes. However, Al uses a certain expensive magical thread he buys from a strange kowaiko to help make the body parts function well with each other. There is a side effect however. The user may experience vivid dreams of the previous owner of that body part and how that body part came to be detached from the previous owner’s body. Sometimes, Al is wracked with horrible nightmares but he's learned to deal with it for the most part.

Al occasionally suffers from episodes of identity crisis. Sometimes he feels as though he has nothing to call his own. Since none of his body truly belongs to him, without them Al wouldn’t even exist. What am I? Who am I? He’d often harbor these thoughts but doesn't like to share his feelings about it with anyone. After living 6 different lives, the current Al finally thought to settle down somewhere and figure out who exactly he is. By doing good things for others, maybe it will give some meaning to his existence.
