In his childhood, the trailer park home belonging to Ace's parents was often stark bereft of food out of packages and cans. Often Ace was frugal and clever in how he obtained and stored important food for his family and himself. All newspaper coupon clippings were collected, cans and bottles sold, food bank routinely visited, church focused on feeding the hungry volunteered at, tutoring fees earned. No money wasted on unnecessary fats and snacks; he only allowed the house to consume the most essential nutrients to grow, storing enough sustenance for them to survive. His role as the provider of nourishment was the most vital in their home.
His mother, Tsubaki, took care of cleaning, cooking, and laundry, while his father, Cory, paid owed bills and regularly did yard work for home owners. His younger sister, Annabelle, babysat their baby brother, Thomas, though both siblings required Ace's teaching to better strive in school. Despite their great work ethic and lifestyle efficiency, none of his closest family excelled nearly as well in the academic background as Ace, who was considered a genius by them as well as many of his school peers. As a result, much of the burdens and pressure to achieve a successful education and career path were loaded on Ace's small shoulders - however, he was only eager to enjoy the challenge. |

Decidedly perceptive and observant, critical thinking and strategics become simple processes for Ace in educational course work and multidimensional situations involving human interaction and socials. He is content to remain in his own company, but it is around other people that his cerebrum is put to great use and he always welcomes a challenge. While his pleasure of debates and productivity make him slightly more lively, he is normally placid, unperturbed by most behaviors around him, and therefore accepting of the many currents in life.
While he may appear aloof, he is an enigma to read in that his gestures and behavior are subtle and even somewhat inexpressive. Expressing himself does not truly matter, so he rarely makes the effort to drop his almost imperceptible mask. Also, though he is initially thought to be someone who is too clever to make idle conversation with his peers, he is known to frequently share his insight and comforting knowledge even to strangers. Sometimes other students go to him for counseling or advice on breaks. If one is to turn his study or tutor session into playtime, however, he will most likely raise his voice in anger and give them a smack or two.
