Condenza

The Doll-Witch of many familiars. The automaton who broke the taboo and created new life, but only that which could spread despair.

Condenza is the result of the Grief Seed of Oktavia von Seckendorff (Puella Magi Madoka Magica) coming into the possession of Nio Altugle (Atelier Ayesha). When Nio was returned after being spirited away, she had the foreboding Grief Seed clutched in her hand, and insisted this was from someone she met 'on the other side.' Oktavia had commanded her familiars to play music for Nio... in that place of near oblivion, it had been one of the only things that kept her mind awake and aware.

(Though Nio never knew that Oktavia wasn't protecting her, at all. It was only Yggdrasil's protection that kept Nio from losing her soul to the witch.)

Nio searched for a way to give her 'friend' a body in this world, and finally found it in the form of a broken automaton. Taking the form of a young girl with green hair, the automaton was totally ruined.. it would never run again, with such a large and terrible hole in its chest.

...Acting on a premonition, Nio put the Grief Seed into the automaton. The key upon its head began to stutter, then turn. The green haired doll opened her eyes for the first time in hundreds of years.

Her name was Condenza.
