Yami doesn't trust others easily. She is reticent and shy, and enjoys being alone. She's anxious and fearful, but sometimes her curiosity overpowers her anxiety.

Yami is very powerful, but only uses her power if absolutely necessary because she does not like drawing attention to herself, and barely ever brags. She doesn't show her emotion much. She could be happy, even if she's not smiling.

Her feelings lie on the inside rather than on the surface. Yami, though reclusive, does not like being lonely. She often attaches herself to her partner Mizuki when she's feeling anxious and/or afraid. Since

Yami has nightmares often, she usually just sleeps with Mizuki. Yami is very loyal and supportive, but can be clingy sometimes too.

She is from the Edo time period, and arrived to modern-day Tokyo through a portal in the forest on a full-moon. It was not intentional, as she was sucked

up by this portal from 10 feet away.

She looks up to her brother Yukima as a role model, because he is studious and powerful at magic. He also helps her with her confidence often, making her feel special and appreciated.

She sees Mizuki as a helpful and selfless person, and loves her dearly. When Yami had first arrived to the modern day, Mizuki was fearless, unlike the rest of her family. Yami admired her ability to take the initiative.

Yami is 15 years old and homosexual.

Her powers include a black mist that comes from her fingertips, which can choke her enemies. She can also surround her opponents with fire. Yami can also leap very high, a similar experience to flight, but not quite the same thing.
