Tandor

Tandor is the illegitimate son of an elven king and a human commoner woman. Even though he's not fully of royal blood, he was taken in by the royal family and raised as a prince because they had no other children. His upbringing was luxurious and he was heavily doted on by his adopted mother for the first few years of his life.

Shortly after Tandor's seventh birthday, the elven queen finally gave birth to a full-blooded child. The baby boy was declared next in line for the throne, and Tandor had his title revoked. From then on, his parents and everyone in the royal court ignored him in favor of his little brother. Desperate for attention, Tandor tried all that he could to make people notice him. However, nothing ever worked. He eventually found himself sneaking out of the castle more and more to interact with the common people. Some remember when he was fully-fledged royal and pity his position, but many others forgot about him entirely and treat him like any other half-elf. Inspired by popular tavern performers, Tandor began to hold street performances where he would sing and play his viol. He loved the attention he got, but also realized how good he felt when people left him smiling in high spirits. Suddenly filled with purpose, Tandor decided to travel away from his home town with the hope of becoming a universally loved performer without the shadow of his family looming over him.

Personality-wise, Tandor is loud and self-centered almost to the point of narcissism. He treats life as one large performance, and his presence is almost always on the grandiose side. He spends a lot of time and effort on his appearance. And no, those sparkles you see around him all the time aren't your imagination, he actually continuously casts prestidigitation to add special effects. He's fiercely competitive and also a bit of a sore loser. However, hidden deep beneath the haughty exterior he puts up, he is deeply insecure and constantly seeks approval from others. When he's in the right mood, he's shown to actually have a level head on his shoulders and can make smart decisions where they count. But other times he's absolutely hopeless, so don't count on him being mature and reasonable when you want him to be.
