Profile

Calm and constant, Eiar has stood as a symbol of nature's cycle and its ability to flourish through great hardship. She was born from terrible tragedy, opened her heart to trust those who had created her and watched as they betrayed her and her land once more.

History

Fool me once.... Eiar's birth came from the warring and malevolent destruction of a druidic people and their lands. The anguish and needless loss of each person, animal and seed coalesced into a frightened creature brimming with power and potential. Over time she grew into her own, restoring the lands around her to slivers and strains of their former glory (though she could do nothing for the people). While she tended to her ruined gardens, other beings came to see what they could pull from the rubble. She met them with fury and fire, guarding her territory zealously until she felt it could survive without her. Her journeys of soul collecting were few and far between at first, so concerned was she with tending to her gardens, but eventually she took to her natural task.

She grew more comfortable with the outside world, and while she was still wary, some that came to her brought curiosity and a genuine thirst for knowledge. Eventually her thorny walls crumbled and she allowed others into her land, as she was proud and willing to teach. But it would not last. Like the giving creatures whose souls she housed, she was betrayed. Her gaze was elsewhere, as she had given some of her visitors her trust and once more her realm was set ablaze, destroying all that she had worked so hard to recover and cracking her faith in outside sources. Her vengeance was swift and once more her thorns closed around the garden, guarding it from all aggressors, physical or mystical. Now she is more mournful than warring as she tends to her garden in the memory of what once was.

Extra

♦ "e-yar lisse". Eiar is fine.

♦ She toys with thorny vines created from thin air when showing signs of aggression.

♦ Her runes are fading and washing away, replaced by vines, a symbol of nature taking back what man had ruined.

♦ Once called the Thorn Queen, she often wears a silver crown of brambles or spikes as a reminder of her great power and loosening temper.

♦ She reacts strongly to the trampling of nature, even if its the simple plucking of a flower, but will not agress unless directly attacked

♦ She has few allies among her own kind as she is content in her scope and not a threat to others.
