My first ever DnD character, the Monk Forest Gnome, Qii'fi Fi'fam! Pronounced "Key-fee Fye-fam"
Qii'fi is a forest gnome belonging to the plentiful Fi'fam family. She had a comfortably youth, though was the smallest of her 8 brothers and sisters so her parents tended to coddle/smother her more often than not. When she came of age, she chose to go and study at a fairly prominent university in order to fulfill her dream of becoming a world renowned Historian. Turns out, she's very good at retaining information but not at "applying" it to situations.
Qii'fi didn't fit in well at all with her peers in academia; the dull, monotonous and sometimes deceptive, lifestyle wasn't for her. She is too trusting of a person and in turn ended up having her prize thesis plagiarized by someone who she believed to be a good friend.
Afterwards she dropped out of university and returned home to the smothering arms of her parents. After a time she decides to consult with her grandmother, the family matriarch and retired Monk, and ends up deciding to try a monastic approach to life.
Went to train at the monastery that housed her grandmother and stayed for about 20 years. Loved her monastery life but still craved more and so she set off to discover a bit more about the world and punch many, many things along the way.
A treasure trove of "book" knowledge, very little practical knowledge
Loves expounding "fun facts!" about a place she's visiting or the history behind a building she's staying in. These facts tend to fall more on the side of useless or just grim morbid at times.
A bit airheaded and very gullible, features she insecure about and actively trying to work on.
Gets very angry when made fun of, punches a lot when angry
Loves birds, thinks cats are symbols of luck, terrified of large dogs.
Affiable and loud sorta gal.
