Backstory:

At birth she was put up for adoption and was adopted by a loving couple. When she turned three, the Mari and Hiro separated and divorced and Anzu was kept with Mari. At six, Mari started dating a man named Dai and everything was good until Dai moved in with them. Dai became abusive towards Mari, and in turn Mari became emotionally abusive towards Anzu.

At the age of 14, Anzu was hit by Dai for the first time and finally gained the courage to call Hiro, and moved to live with him, cutting all ties with Mari and Dai. A few months later Mari was killed and Dai was arrested, and Anzu agreed to go to Mari's funeral.

She changed schools and ended up at the same school as Ai and Kou and found herself getting on with them really well, and she started dating Ai when she was 18.

Personality:

Anzu is very self-deprecating, often believing that she is worth less than everyone else. She's very much overly emotional, crying over things that most would deem stupid.

She hates the way she looks, mostly her upper body, and tries to hide herself by wearing oversized hoodies. It takes a lot to get them off her, though she will take it off for Ai without too much persuasion.

She dreams of an ideal world where Ai is always happy and gets whatever he wants, and she goes out of her way to try and accommodate this, though they get into arguments over it as Ai thinks she's doing too much and wearing herself out.

On good days, she can be a bit of a tease, especially towards Ai, attempting to arouse him until he can't control himself as she thinks that that's the most fun side of Ai, though this can also lead to arguments, especially if Ai has agreed to help Kou (since Anzu is getting in the way of that).

On bad days, Anzu will often lock herself away from everyone and avoid Ai most of all.

She respects Ai's care for Kou, but sometimes wishes that Ai would give her as much of his time

Quirks:

She rarely takes off her hoodie. It takes a lot of persuading when she does

She's not shy, she just doesn't like herself (caused by a lot of what her adoptive mother said and did)

Under her hoodie she's very thin, and you can see most of her ribs quite clearly

Headcanons:

She can't get aroused unless things are more on the rough or violent side

Doesn't usually sleep with anyone unless it's Ai or Ai is there encouraging it, but she's comfortable kissing people and pleasing them, as long as she keeps her hoodie on

In a non-canon Kou route she is the third person to die. She's strangled and then stabbed in the stomach several times.

In a non-canon Kazutoshi route, she has the second death. A death is announced but no body is found. It is declared that Anzu most have been drowned in the sea and left to drift away.
