A member of a space-borne species that creates hives by abducting random lifeforms, resequencing their genes to introduce its own DNA to theirs, hibernates until this gene expresses itself in a large amount of the world population, and then reawaken to exert its mental dominion over them and slaughter those unaffected.
This DNA is a recessive trait that typically remains hidden, leashing those who carry it to its will when they hear its voice.
