Diva takes heavily after her mother, both in appearance and personality. She carries herself with pride and honor and expects everyone around her to treat her as if she were royalty. She often bottles up her worries and fears, not wanting to appear fragile and incapable of handling things herself. She is extremely independent and prefers to work alone rather than with others. When stuck with others, however, she becomes rather bossy, often choosing to do all the work herself. She gets impatient quite easily, and doesn't like it when ponies hide things from her or lie to her, even though she's guilty of doing the same things occasionally.

Diva was inspired by her mother to start her own fashion line. But that wasn't enough for her, so she decided to take it a step further and aim to be a model. She loved the attention, the way the outfits looked on her. Through this, she discovered her passion with modeling, and has her own clothing line her mother sells in her widespread stores.

Rarity had gone from broken relationship to broken relationship trying to find herself. Filthy Rich and his daughter Diamond Tiara were too much of a handful despite the fact she had had all the money she could ever have wanted; Filthy only cared about his money and spoiling Diamond Tiara, who was struggling to find her own place in the world after being freed of her mother's emotional and mental abuse when her father finally divorced her. When that fell through, Rarity tried to look for comfort in another popular and rich pony, Blueblood. Surely, she knew that it wouldn't work out. It hadn't when they met years ago at the Galloping Gala. She knew he was a horrible stallion who was more or less just a selfish snob. But, she was desperate, and scared. Two years of fights and emotional breakdowns later, she ended it with the prince and stayed single for a few more years, burying herself in her work maintaining her clothing shops.

One day, she ran across Fluttershy's little brother, Zephyr Breeze. Now, to be frank, she didn't like him much at all; she'd not seen him since the day he ruined many of her precious fabrics when she entrusted him with the task of simply dyeing them. He seemed to be in a much better place now, holding himself with less ego and more happiness and pride in himself for getting to where he was by then; she learned he'd become a famous hairstylist who traveled a lot, beckoned for all over Equestria. The way he spoke no longer held any self-importance or laziness, which impressed her. They began to meet up regularly, and eventually it blossomed into a relationship. He did his own thing, she did her's, and he often came by her work to surprise her with visits. She actually felt wanted, important to somepony this time around. Her works flourished because of how happy she felt because of his support and dedication. A year later, they married and soon after that they had their first foal, named Uptown Chic, after her newest store in Prance.

Both Zephyr and Rarity both fell head over heels for their daughter even before she was born. Zephyr doted on Rarity, and spoke to Chic everyday and every night while she was still in her momma's belly. After her birth, they were overjoyed and confident they could handle parenthood. They didn't spoil her much at all, and did their best to raise her right and teach her necessary life lessons. They affectionately called her Diva, after the fact she was, and still is, a very nitpicky mare with a royalty complex. With help and support from their friends and family, they were able to get through the tougher years of Diva's young life without as many breakdowns and fights as one might expect from new parents.

Applejack and Rarity had remained closest over the years, so she saw Applejack's son, Rocket Sprint, a lot and became good friends with him. They're closer than most might assume, as they are very different from each other. She also had the others to help keep her grounded: Humble Shade, Applecrest, and Starfall Axiom, but Rocket Sprint was the only one out of the group to know Diva's deepest secrets.

Having these four to grow up with helped subdue most of her narcissism for a while, though she still acted fairly posh just like her mother. Despite her narcissism and ego, her parents seem to be the only ones she'd ever do anything for without question; she even treats them with respect far moreso than others whom she'd usually demand respect from.

Diva moved out at the ripe age of fifteen, choosing to live on her own in Manehattan with a roommate. There, she makes a living doing what she'd loved since her filly years: modeling. With Rarity's help, she has become quite the face of Manehattan in the last year alone.
