A robotic clown meant to be one of several mascots for an amusement park that was cancelled due to a lack of space and funds. While there were hopes of salvaging Expo as a solo act, the proof of concept demonstration was soured by the use of a temporary head casing over the specialized internals. To put it bluntly, the large, eyes on a solid black visor freaked the investors out too much. While Expo was scheduled to be re-assembled for more basic civilian life to dispose of her while complying with Roboethic protocols, she escaped shortly after catching wind of it. She didn't want a civilian life; She wanted to be a performer; a star.
Waiting in the abandoned shell of the park, they got by using solar generators left behind to power the man-portable construction equipment and whatever cans of coolant and oil they could snatch from the occasional department store, trying to indulge herself at night by seeking out people to perform for. While most were happy to see her, they typically ran screaming after seeing her eyes staring them down in the darkness. It drove her into a depressive slump until one Doctor Vitola showed up, impressed by her skills. So, she was given an offer. In return for guarding park she'd been living in to prevent anyone from entering or leaving, she would get a fresh set of clothing, as well as a new face that complimented her outfit and eyes . She accepted gladly, and now utilizes the abandoned equipment and structures as a playground to practice acrobatics skills with her newfound zest for life.
