Physical Description

Natalie is a somewhat higher than average white woman with very black (sometimes appearing dark brown in certain lighting) hair that is slighter longer than shoulder length. She is a bit on the chubbier side but not incredibly overweight, much of her thickness is attributed to muscle mass and she does work out and is naturally bigger in that regard. She has dark brown eyes that are usually conveyed in my art as just black for simplicity sake.
She usually wears very casual clothing usually possessing a pair of darker coloured athletic pants, green or blue sneakers, printed T and a hoodie of various colours though primarily a green on in most seasons and a white one in the winter.

She also possesses a cross shaped gravestone tattoo on her left forearm and 2 stud piercing on each ear.

Backstory

Natalie's backstory is a bit less open book than that of Darwin and basically the rest of the main cast (and much of a secondary too honestly). What is known is Natalie grew up on a lower income family with her parents in the province of New Brunswich. She was always a bit of a troublemaker and as a young child only have one very close friend in one of her cousins from her dad's side of the family. Natalie tends to not go into detail about exactly how it occured but it is known this cousin passed away tragically when she was just 9 years old. Grief stricken and bitter with the world she became even more anti social and destructive landing her into the wrong crowd during her teens where she became quite skill and fighting dirty. She never spent more than few month inprisoned but it is somewhat evident she involve herself in some criminal activities. As a very young adult she decided to escape that life and moved to PEI without consulting her family or really anyone else that knew her. She didn't feel right continuing to cause them suffering with her behavior.

At this point she had an attempt to gain her GED where she met up with Tiffa which was also doing the same thing. While Natalie did fail at Tiffa succeeded and they maintained a very close friendship. At one point they even had a short lived romantic relationship though Natalie's discomfort with it led to them deciding to remain simply friends.

During a visit with Tiffa (which now lived in the capital city as she had moved up to University level in her education) she encountered Darwin by complete chance. Natalie figured her life hadn't really accomplished much good at decided to take the risk aiding this little xenofolk that seemed to be a absolute panic. They've been close friends since and now journey together as the primary duo of the sci fi.

Personality

Natalie is a character that's at a true crossroad in her life and its quite reflected in her personality. Natalie is very capable of reading people for intentions and thus can seem to almost naively trust people but the reality is she sees your intentions easily by paying close attention to your words and body language. As such she is remarkably quiet and usually let's others do most of the talking, this has led people to believe she is either intellectually disabled in some way or mute but at best Natalie may have some underlying learning disability, she is quite street smart. She does clearly have many issues in regards to book smarts, as such she usually trusts others to do the thinking in regard to those things and just focuses on what she's best at doing herself. Her mental health is actually one of the healthiest among the main cast though she has the most latent anger issues which she tends to control decently well these days though in the past it led her to outright harming others. She isn't abusive though and does own up and take responsibilities for her personal failings. Basically Natalie is learning to recognize her weaknesses and acknowledge her flaws and put faith in others to be a "better half" for her.

Natalie is also learning to better comprehend responsibilty, while she does try to be the voice (figurately of course) of reason she does often outright fail at it and becomes an active participant if not the cause of the antics the rest of the cast gets into. Natalie also has... some grey areas will call it in regards to following the laws and isn't against striking someone or breaking someone else's property if she feels the need. This is probably why she and Darwin work so well together as both are often on the same page in those situations rather than at opposition like they may be with other cast members (especially Buu as they're very "by the books"). She does, however, have a stronger sense of understanding consequences then Darwin does and thus eventually will step in to stop things from getting too out of control.

She is best describe as a dooer rather than a follower and often is the one that indirectly commands the rest of the main cast around. She never forces herself into that position and simply others just follow her because they lack as much direction as she does (minus Lok though he kinda does his own thing most of the time). This obviously doesn't extend to things that require harder thinking where she let's them take charge of that aspect but in the end she will act in whatever way she thinks its best based on the information shared with her. So saying "doing X is dangerous because [info]" will mean she will accept the information but not necessarily the words of caution regarding it.

Natalie gets along well with just about anyone given she's not pushy and is quiet though she always gives off and air of intimidation which may keep more nervous people from associating with her. At the same time she gets along very poorly with people that lack compassion or at least sympathy for others which has led her to be at odds with individuals like Tyfon which is well know for being outright cruel and insensitive to the needs and differences of others.
