Abilities
As an Okurin, Wolf has a second system of veins under his skin. Those veins just appear on his hands and are black, because his element is darkness. Usually the color of the veins is better visible the stronger a persons ability is. Wolf hides his veins with the help of illusions to pretent that he is weak. That is why the veins aren't visible on his skin. However, the hands are the body part, magic can be released with. Everyone has different abilities belonging to a specific element.
Wolf can control darkness to create illusions or to summon shadow  things. Those things can be everything from a spoon to a weapon, or even some kind of complex mechanism (the last one takes a lot of effort to create, thogh). But that needs much magic so he doesn't keep those things for too long and relies on real objects as much as possible.
For fights however the illusions and shadow weapons can be really useful. But he tries to hide his abilities usually.

Later he gained his wolf ears by killing a monster, that gave him better senses than he had before, especially his ears are a lot more sensitive. It also improved his speed and physical strength. If he would practice he could also change to the form of the monster but he isn't interested in this kind of ability. He also keeps his ears hidden by illusions most of the time.

Story
Wolf was born by the name of Kou in the seventh world or also called "New Eltara" This world has a rather cruel political system that considers a big part of the population as scum. For some people it is understandable since they committed some kind of crime. But as for the biggest part of this population group it consists of mere children who's parents happened to be in this group. Usually it is impossible to get a higher rank, no matter what. Instead people get archievements for hunting and killing them. For parents it is almost impossible to take care of their children or to take care of a family. So if they somehow get children, they often abandon them or even kill them.
Kou is the son of a whore and a man he does not know. Maybe that man had a higher rank, nobody knows about that. But his mother had a lot of problems due to her reputation. Not just because of her rank but also because of her job. She didn't want any children, she knew how hard their life would be with her. But she didn't want to kill her own child, which is why she abandoned Wolf, after taking care of him for 2 years in secret. Then she just left him. There was no other choice for her. Kou knew about her job but not really anything else about her. Also he didn't really get what her job meant. She gave him a paper with his name, Kou, on it and droped him somewhere in the city. She told him to wait and left. That is the last time she saw him. She had a small hope that someone would take care him, she knew he'd die but it felt much better than killing him directly.
Kou wasn't found by anyone who'd take proper care of him. He somehow managed to get food by himself by deceiving others for example. At this point he didn't really realize that his life is not good. He thought it was normal. He just kept on living on his own, but than slowly realizing that there's something completely wrong with this world. He didn't like the idea of people killing each other without consequences, he didn't like the Idea of not beeing able to work because scum isn't allowed to work. He had no other choise than to steal food, clothes, whatever he needed for a living. He didn't like that at all. Also he didn't like royal people who support this political system because they themselves were rich and they'd feel better when they can look down on someone.
One day a guy attacked him, probably one of his own rank. Someone who got hired by a royal guy to kidnapp some children that he can make them slaves... In return the kidnapper would be royal afterwards. Those promises are always lies because it is impossible to make one royal when he started as scum. But people believe them because it is their only hope. However, to survive this, Kou used his abilities instictively and won the fight, killing his opponent. Discovering his strength made it much easier to get food, so he had a rather nice life - compared to others. It is really rare for children to discover their abilities on their own, usually they learn that at school, since people at his rank usually don't go to school, which is why he's stronger than ordinary people. That his ability is strong is not the only reason for him winning. However, he really hated himself for deceiving others all the time and stealing and thought it should finally stop. He found out how people could recognize people from his rank. Usually every birth gets confirmed and people get a spell casted on them. Every doctor has a tool to cast it. (Well, they can't use it on everyone, people serving the queen control what the doctors are doing) However, Whenever someone concentrates magic on their eyes and look at someone from the lowest rank, there's no color around them visible. For people who have the spell on them appears a color around them. Kou decided to use his illusions to make a color appear around him, so that people would think he's a normal guy. Also he called himself Wolf to make sure, nobody would recognize his name. And then he looked for work.
He got a few jobs, one of them taking care of twins. Kannah and Tooru. Both of them were really small at this point and he really loved taking care of them and playing with them, their parents also were really thankful to him. He gaind money from this and some other jobs, to make a living without stealing. Nobody got suspicious, because he had this color around him due to his illusion. Another job was beeing chef for a little guest house. That guest house is special. A woman runs it. She once had a husband supporting her, but he died. That is because the two of them took care of two children who were from the lowest rank. It was fine for about two years but they got discovered and the father insisted on taking the responsibilty. That is how he got a death panelty and died. His wife tried her best to get him rescued but she failed. At this time they had four children, two of them releated by blood, the other two adopted. None of them really realized what happened. She somehow got the permission to continue taking care of the two adopted children but for her that wasn't enough. She dedicated herself to the plan of creating an opportunity also for other innocent children who where just born under the wrong circumstances. After that people got the permission to adopt children from the lowest rank as long as they are under 18 years old. Not many people adopt children but there's an opportunity for them now. The woman who runs the guest house has her doors opened for every child in need. So her family grew really big. Wolf felt really good there but also when he was with Kannah and Tooru. Both familys had a really warm athmosphere, he never experienced before.
That all went well for some time but one day, he heard a rumor that a monster attacks citizens around the town. Monsters often appear in this world and people who defead one are considered heros. They gain the monsters abilitys, mostly physical strength and much better defense and senses. But they're not called heros because they became strong after defeating a monster, they are called heros, because they are already really strong by themselfes. Most people would just get killed when they try to defeat a monster. Wolf was really worried about the twins, because they played at a place where the monster was seen. He found them. Luckily soon enough. Nothing happened to them. He sent them home and wanted to follow them but exactly at this moment, the Monster, ironically a wolf like creature, appeared in front of him. He had no choise but to fight it. He somehow managed to win and gained its abilitys. He now has wolf ears and tail. He wanted to hide his new features and just go on living like he had lived before. But he was shocked when he realized a solider who has watched the fight. He wanted to ask him questions but Wolf run away. But eventually the solider found out his name and checked it on the list of citizens. He wasn't on there. He had a color but no entry there. They also found out that he worked at the twins family. They visited them and ask the parents about him. They made the mistake of defending him, telling them that he always did good work and so on... That is how they got killed. It is forbidden to defend someone from the lowest level. Wolf was extreamly mad at them, he wanted to kill them but Kannah and Tooru were crying and he changed his mind and helped the twins instead. He created an illusion for the soliders, so they didn't follow him when he run of to the guesthouse he worked for.
He never wanted to ask for adoption but he had to give the twins a good home at least and cancel his job. Otherwise they'd be in danger too. The woman was shocked by the story, first because he never asked for adoption, she would've loved to help him, that he should stop keeping problems to himself, than that he was able to kill the monster and mostly about the attitude of this soliders. She insisted on adopting him too. He was 17 years old at this point and nobody could prove that he'd committed a crime. After talking to her, he got calmer and hid also his ears and tail with magic. He feels uncomfortable whenever someone sees his veins or wolf features.
He became a member of that big family now and promised himself he'd never lose anyone again, he'd protect this family no matter what. He ended up becoming a father figur, since there was the oldest guy in the house and already took care of the twins. He helped wherever he could. Also he stopped hiding his ears and tail from time to time, because it was exhausting and the mother told him he should stop it. He felt a little more comfortable about this over the time. But he still hides his veins, because they are small and it's easy to hide them, also he got used to it. Same goes for his name. Everyone calls him Wolf at the time, they now know his real name, Kou but they got used to Wolf, so that's how they still call him.
